You could try finding the CM7 DSPManager somewhere on XDA and install that & a different media player. (DSPManager doesn't work with the TouchWiz one). We'll never have voodoo since the i777 has a ****ty sound chip, but it'll get close.

I was surprised at the lack of odexed ROMs... for any device. People just Deodex without weighing the pros and cons, and people are lead to believe that deodexed roms are just better.
Just flashed. seems really smooth. I'll try it out for a bit and see how it runs. Thanks again for sharing your work.

No problem! I removed the email app since there's others available in the marketplace -- like K9 Mail, and personally, I don't use any provider besides Gmail so it's useless for me. Sorry for the mild inconvenience though

Your issue is NOT common, so I won't check on the full link again to save time and constant downloads&re-uploads, so do the following:
Flash a kernel for our phone, either Entropy's or Siyah's latest.
Does it work? If not, find the hellraiser thread by Entropy and flash the latest Hellraiser package.
You might even be able to make it work by reflashing the ROM.
It'll get the ROM working just fine, I promise you.

Woops, this is the second time my phone went all derp and messed up a perfectly good rom. Everything is working a-OK, and I'm sticking with this rom. It's lightweight and superfast, I love it. Thanks for such a great rom and support!

Man, I'll look into it, but no promises. Looking at the sources, I don't think this is possible in a full odex'ed ROM. Maybe if I recompile every file so the Signatures match up, but that's going to take a while. Probably for a new base or something... so not right now. hey! ask JKay if he can implement options like that
