Here it is february security update with quite a few changes related to device stability, Including backported camera fix
here is a brief changelog
- Merged February 2022. Security update
- Fixed bug where camera would stop working after prolonged use due to file-descriptiors being left open and overflowing
- Fixed torch delay
- Fixed issues with camera auto focus locking up the camera
- Switched to half res boot anim which in turn gives us a slight boost in boot time
- Cleaned up gatekeeper rc files
- Removed arrow pointer (used for s-pen or mouse input) from non note8 builds and updated pointer for note8 build
- Cleaned up unneeded drm entries in hidl manifest
- Switched to source built librilutils
- Switched to source built libreference-ril
- Misc performance and stability improvements
- Synced with LOS source

Has anyone here experienced serious overheating when charging over 5W (as in 8-10W)? After feb patch I started experiencing heavy battery drain as well with no solution as to why, particularly in deep sleep. I'm already aware about hwc being disabled but this is something else.

I've noticed you've written something about fp,viberator and mic improvment in los19(12L) changelog. Are those changes specific to los19?
Will those changes be applied in ls18 too?

Although I have only been using the ROM for a few days, but no, even with fast-charging I did not notice this. And I haven't noticed the fast discharging (yet) either.

I have installed Gsam battery monitor since it gives a better picture, but my usage scenario lasts 48hrs and only then will know for sure. At first it seemed to have been something related to the radios but my reception is flawless for both wifi and lte.

Trying to logcat 48hrs (let alone 12-24hrs) of data is stretching it, especially considering it's an issue in both deep sleep and when the phone is being used.

Mind you I only noticed this with the feb patch. I have another device running LOS 18.1 that is updated monthly as well and it has no issues and is just as old (Xperia XZ1) that runs the same apps as a form of redundancy check among other things.

Has anyone else had issues with messaging apps? When using mobile data, notifications never come through. I've disabled battery optimizations for "signal messenger" and have also set it to use "unlimited data" in the settings, but it still doesn't notify me when I'm not on WiFi.

SMS works fine and as soon as I open the app the data messages sort of "catch up"

With this rom (March 12 22) and a USB C Hdmi dock my audio goes out the phone speaker instead of the TV.. Is there some way to select the TV or is this a rom issue? It's my first time using Hdmi out on android... Thanks for the Rom everything else works great

- Drastically speed up app launch time (more info about that here)
- Imrpoved performance and battery life by disabling some unnecessary logging
- Removed AudioFX which was breaking audio in some scenarios
- Synced with LOS source

Oh hey im actually aware of that, I need to find a proper way to log it and see why routing is acting like that on aosp, this is also the case on my other devices running aosp so it doesnt seem to be device specific but more of a fact aosp is unaware of proper routing. But thats def. something ill look into

here it is August security update

Nothing major in this one as i am still working behind the scenes on that huge update i talked about previously which involves rewrite of almost whole graphics and media stack (its almost finished but i still have to do a bit more testing just to make sure there is no regression)
(Im still waiting for a properly working s8/n8 listing to show up on ebay thats not overpriced so i can use it for testing as my s8 has messed up display and unfortunately import from UK turned out to be more expensive than s8 would be worth)


In other news android 13 should be released next month and since there were no major changes s8 and note8 should be running it soon after release with not too many issues and ill try to take a few days off from work to get it up and running on it once source is out
