The camera is definitely a lot better than stock. This is going to be my daily driver from now on. Thanks!
@_LLJY there's been a grave mishap because of a little issue with the rom. There's 2 Clock apps so my girlfriend inadvertently set one alarm on both but one was earlier than the other. Mayhem ensued. Maybe removed one or the other?

Hey guys! *newbie alert here*
So basically, i'm new to the scene here. I've just rooted my Z5(E6653, 32.4.A.1.54) using the following tutorial: Youtube videoID: /watch?v=fdhAPeTJK6Y(magdisk method)
So I've unlocked my device(going on Sony's site, getting the unlock code, then using it on fastboot).
I successfully managed to flash and root my device. I've already been enjoying some rooting benefits like messing with Lucky Patcher, Apps2SD and some other goodies. But now I've came across this whole custom ROM thing, and this battery life one really caught my eye, so i'm interested in getting this custom ROM. But instructions on this forum post are extreamllyyy brief(1. Download latest version 2. Clean flash 3. Profit)...um?.... And some of the vocabulary/slang terms used here can be very overwhelming for beginners(e.g clean & dirty flashing? kernel adiutor ? no interactive profile ? Emulate init.d? universal init.d?)

Also i hear that the device must be in sock rom? Looking at that tutorial i sent, is my device classified as stock rom? Do no i need to do something else before getting this rom?

If someone could be kind enough to provide a step-by-step tutorial on how to install this that would be great. I understand that a lot of people here on this forum are already experts, but it doesn't hurt to also cater & open the doors for beginners :) The step-by-step tutorial doesn't need to be superrrr in-depth, just slightly.

I'm on Windows.
My device: Sony Xperia Z5. Model: E6653 Android: 7.1.1 Kernel Version: 3.10.84-perf-g99119bc Build Number: 32.4.A.1.54
I also hear the term "Rom base" being thrown about, how do i check mine?

Thank you very so much for the time taken to read this message :)

THANK YOU
i switched from lineageos 18 and i have to say i prefer to be 5 version back instead of dealing with bugs and battery
i have to addmit this is the best kernel i have ever seen on a phone 4years old battery is like it's brand new ( i have use atleast 30 kernels on 4 different phones)
sadly you didn't add glove mod

idk about that drm fix the kernel is on the rom and the issue i found is that sometimes idk why but mic is disabled and needs reboot but that could be due to many apk i have on my phone about hibernate doze etc.
also video recording on 4k has some issues on framerate some times same while saving videos and images or deleting but i already had that issue while i was on stock latest 7 version from sony so could be due to some memory problem on my phone.

Finally I did succeeded flash this rom on z5p E6883 (with zach kernel) PERFECTLY. It's amazing, light, fast and good camera than stock I think.
Just one thing, since it's for z5 so my device detected as z5 E6683.
So the battery capacity detected as 2900 mah. (cpu Id, hw info, aida).
Is that OK, since z5p has actual 3430 mAh capacity.
Thank you very much for all.
Sorry for my poor English.
