:geek: I did it! :geek:

Perhaps LineageOS 15.1 for the Galaxy S6 (Edge) is not in active development any more,
but out of some little necessity I just created a new build:

For Galaxy S6 (zerofltexx):
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=328693

For Galaxy S6 Edge (zeroltexx):
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=328692

September (Security) patches are included:
https://review.lineageos.org/q/topic:"O_asb_2021-09"

.. and I would like to provide monthly builds for both S6 devices.

But because I don't own such a device:
Testers for Galaxy S6 (zerofltexx) are very welcome!
I am looking forward to your feedback...

Note:
My builds won't be signed for now!
Be careful when updating or upgrading from an earlier signed build!
Instructions can be found here:
https://wiki.lineageos.org/signing_builds.html#test-keys-to-your-own-release-keys-or-vice-versa
But which necessity was that? 🤔
Update:
Ah, the meanwhile missing backporting of android security patches for LOS 14.1. 😉

Anyway I think that's great and I might try your build soon.

Thanks a lot for your work. WLAN does not work properly. After restarting, it works some minutes, and then does not find any networks more. Greetings from Düsseldorf :)

Thank you for your work, Borstelchen!
I flashed your ROM last week on a device that I don't use regularly in order to test it. So far everything I tried works: phone, WiFi, camera.

I would like to encrypt the device, but I did not try it yet, because I had issues on other devices (Galaxy S4 mini with LOS 18.1 and S5 mini with LOS 14.1) where the encryption process crashed and caused boot loops, so I had to reinstall the ROMs. Has someone already done it with this ROM and does it work?

Thanks I installed it right away :)

Translated by GT: Well, what are your impressions of the firmware. Write what works and what doesn't. I don't see stable on the S6 yet, then there is no camera, data transfer, wi-fi are unstable, then GPS. While for some reason I do not want to jump from the official one, it works stably for me until there is a standing custom. They worked well on S3, installed a lot of firmware, I liked it.

I've been testing it, and things to note is that the battery lasts much longer than the stock rom. But the app for Sube Argentina that uses NFC does not work for me. Also the native camera app that it brings works very badly. I try to take photos or capture videos and record them from the side like 90 degrees.

Greetings and thanks for sharing the rom.
Apologies for my English.

Thank you so much for your work! This is by far the most stable ROM for the S6 Edge (SM-G925F) with the best battery life. Everything works great so far. The only thing I am missing that all other ROMs have are the performance profiles. Geekbench 5 gives me a score of 116 in single-core and 424 in multi-core. That's about half of what it should actually have according to other Geekbench scores.

I have tried LineageOS 17.1 provided by user JoshuaDoes which resulted in bootloops, freezes, Wi-Fi 5 GHz connection problems and trebuchet constantly crashing. Geekbench score however was at 280 single-core and about 1000 in multi-core. Performance was really good and the device was not heating up that much when compared to Evolution X 4.20.2 [PIXEL] by Lunarixus or Evolution X 5.9 [11].

Evolution X 5.9 [11] provided by santhosh ravi had different issues like the device not waking up when pressing home key, overheating battery in idle and during charging, no way to turn off button backlighting when using gestures, fast battery drain, etc. Geekbench 5 score was lower than LineageOS 17.1 by JoshuaDoes with about 200 in single-core and 780 in multi-core.

Is there any way I can add performance profiles to this ROM? I have replaced my battery with a new one so I am willing to sacrifice battery life for more performance. Right now it's only operating at half of what it actually could do. It would be awesome to have a choice to change this. It says "Battery saver and performance" in the settings, but when I tap on that it only gives me two options: "Extreme power saver" and "Automatic power saver". There is no option to change the performance with a slider like in other ROMs. Even your previously provided LineageOS 14.1 ROM had that option.

Everyone looking for the most stable ROM with best battery life for your S6 Edge, look no further! This is it. If you value performance more than anything else, you should look at other options, but they all have their own problems.
