S-Pen issues

I also have the same issue of palm rejection not working, which also seems to be an unfixed issue with the LOS 16 ROM also.

It's not specifically that it doesn't actually draw, but rather that any fast writing is being lost. I don't know if this is due to the new wac_i2c->enabled_gestures introduced in commit 05fb0bf8174c. If it is, I see no way to disable the gestures inside the ROM.

Great to see someone picking up the development for this device
I will get this rom installed when it is stable.

SM-P605S?

Can we install SM-P605? If not, would you like to apply? Korea is asking too little. (For example, using kernels)
I'm sorry. I'm sorry if you can. I'm always grateful for your hard work.

@S-pen
unfortunately the issues with palm rejection are the same as in LOS 16.

If David had found a solution I assume it would have been in this build. So I guess it's the same with camera - as long as noone knows how to fix it we have to live with it. z

Are apps now in /system/system/apps?

Sorry for this stupid question. Google was not helpful. I don't have another Android 10 device to check if this is the new default behaviour. I have modified Nanolx Debloating script for magisk to put some (a lot) apps in system file directory.
A change in folder structure would involve quite a lot of typing on my part so I thought I ask first.
@David:
Thanks for fixing NAT in kernel in Los17 - no more errors with iptables. I will see if VPN / Orbot and AFwall will work later.

I cant seem to find the version of TWRP recommended to be used in the instructions on the TWRP site. Is there a link somewhere for the correct version for SM-P605?

Hi, is this project still alive?
I just wonder, if it makes sense waiting, because my earlier attempts with Lineage 15.1 (Android 8) left me with no LTE (sim card not recognized), otherwise it is a great system, but still some things are not finalized, like no sound in headphones, ocassional crashes, and the project seem halted... I just need working system, as I use it for my work.
Thanks a lot!

Go for the lineage 14.1 variant, which is the most stable, IMHO. If your sim card isn't recognized, you may have to reflash the stock modem via Odin

Never tried flashing a different OS on an Android device before, but willing to give it a try, because I love my SM-P605. What I don't love is Samsungs twisted version of Android and also that there are no updates beyond 5.1.1 for it.

Apart from all the obvious risks of course, is there any way to restore the tablet to normal in case the result is not satisfactory?

BTW Whereas I appreciate David's work here, is there any particular reason he hasn't requested to have to it pulled into the official repository for LineageOS?

Yes is very easy restore to stock ROM with Odin, you can download from https://sfirmware.com/samsung-sm-p605/#tab=firmwares

and this ROM is not in the official repository, I think becasuse have bugs, the camera not work, the ROM work fine, but have this issue with the camera... If that is not a problem for you, yu can install this. I tried with lianogeos 17, 16, and 15, and all have problems with camera, so I finally install lianogeOS 14 with Android 7.1 and work fine.
You can download from https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga...om-unofficial-cyanogenmod-14-1-30-10-t3490761

TWRP 3.2.1 for the lt03lte where?

Awesome! I've been reading up on stuff a bit and it actually seems doable. I suppose you can even use ADB and TWRP to restore the previous state of the table?

One thing I find confusing, though, is I don't see where you can get TWRP 3.2.1 for the lt03lte...

I mean I downloaded the app and I checked online, but the highest version for lt03lte seems to be either 3.1.1 or from 2017.

What gives!?

Aahhh... Could it be this one?

Now all I need to figure out is how to 'root' my particular device.
