This time dirty flashing went completely wrong. Tablet bootet into Download Mode. Recovery & Restore still possible.
As dirty flashing doesn't seem to be the culprit, i'm completely clueless now. Uninstall Magisk prior to flashing? Last time root was lost, after the Note had successfully rebooted.

I had Magisk installed before dirty flashing but didn't ran into any problem.

That makes it even more mysterious. On the Download Mode screen was an error message like "couldn't boot normally", meaning that the system at least tried to. I have never experienced something like that, more the bootloop kind. And my understanding of this "systemless" matter(Magisk etc) is limited. The su bin seems to reside on the tiny cache partition, then. And probably the hosts file for adblockers, that may be the difference in settings towards the last time.

Clean installing worked. I only get one or two error msgs about "Bluetooth shares" after each boot and further ones if i try to activate BT. So no BT, con others confirm that?
This update comes pre-rooted with Magisk again, with the last one root was lost after dirty flashing, so presumably it came without.

You can use the the latest build 5.8.4 (20170808) , with this one there is no problem with either the Bluetooth nor the cover ! :good:

Made a rookie error lol - Installed 5.8.5, didn't read the thread and really need bluetooth working.... everything else seems to work perfectly.. will have to downgrade to 5.8.4 unless @davidmueller13 can fix very soon. Appreciate all these updates to 7.1.2, been using Linage before this (like RR better with all the customisation) - you've keep this device alive all these roms. Very thankful for your work :good: & will give you a donation soon for your efforts.

I have a weird battery issue going on (it could be my tablet) but the battery seems to rapidly drain causing my tablet to shut off (obviously) but the weird thing is after I turn on my tablet it shows 60% battery life. Simply put my tablet "thinks" it has no juice left but after a reboot it fixes that. Anyone else have this odd issue?

The data base or learning algorithm of the Android Coulometer got corrupt. A full blown recovery in Download mode should fix that. But if you leave it to own devices, the issue will slowly fade away. Probably the time depends on the runtime since the last initial setup. The Coulometer calibration is 95% perfect after a couple of days initially, but the process never stops. In my case on another device it wasn't that severe, i let it "grow out" and that took months...
