Hi. In the next week's I'll have to format my tablet. I'm not here asking for ETA, it I would only like to know if the development of pie has stopped or not, so I can choose if flash nougat again or try pie, waiting for new updated (if there will be any).

L OS 14.1 just got another update. I don't under stand why bother with the old stuff. Both roms are equally stable on the P605. Source code development for both versions is terminated, so no surprises for the dev from that direction.
Just one issue is unique for 16.1: Upon wake up from standby instead of the currently used app(especially Firefox) or the launcher(Nova) a black screen with status bar shows. Pressing menu a second time shows the app history, from where there's app access. Or the launcher after closing history.
Recently i had not only the black screen but also a crash fest when trying to read a 7mbyte 250page pdf document with EZPDF Reader. System load was extreme, i understand that this is especially tight for the limited RAM. But i did not encounter any problems on my S5 with only 2GB of Ram and otherwise near identical hardware. There was just not as many page content to display in readable form on the the much smaller screen, the screen bitmap being not much smaller at FullHD.

Not sure I understand what your point is, but to me it's like Windows 7 vs 10. In the "old" stuff (Oreo, Nougat), you're more in control: you root, you're the boss. With Pie/10, Google is increasing and strengthening its infestation.

That's just my opinion. So I for one am VERY happy that someone keeps updating that "old" stuff with security updates.

Big Thanks to David for maintaining LOS 14.1. !
Unfortunately, I converted to LOS 16.0 last year, hoping it would be a future-proof train.

David - would you please indicate what your plans are regard SM-P605?
Is there any chance to add the current security fixes to a 16.0 build, like you did for LOS 14.1?
I am sure this would be highly appreciated by a number of users.

Would you mind sharing your plan with us?

Odd Bugs not reported...

The rom is great! Has a couple of bugs; some times it won't open the button settings to let me modify the home and side buttons until I clear the cache. The only other thing I cannot get around is that wallpapers set on the lockscreen get zoomed in to the left side of the photo no matter what wallpaper app I use. The homescreen wallpaper sets exactly how I want, but even when setting both home and lockscreen wallpapers at the same time, it still gets resized to the left of the image.
Great Job, though! I imagine it has to be incredibly hard to port newer firmware to older devices and still make them run smoothly.

Also, one more bug. When the flashlight is added to the notification panel, it can be activated and turned off, but it cannot be turned on again. Downloading any 3rd party flashlight app allows the flashlight to be turned on, but trying to turn it off again crashes every app I've tried.

Most annoying is the seemingly bugged memory management, making the P605 less stable than the closely related Galaxy S5, which has to cope with 1GB of RAM less.
Frequent crashes in Firefox, many other HTML based apps and when trying to read longer(not complex or huge) PDF docs using respective apps. Tapatalk e.g. is stable and K9(Email) and YouTube, too.
Today a 64bit SoC and at least 4GB of RAM are sort of basic requirement, but 3GB should still be a big advantage over 2.

P605=LTE
P600=WiFi only
So it should be 'easy' to port from p605 to P600, isn't it?
Same everything just P600 has no LTE... Today I was tweaking the P605 LOS 17.1 but I didn't get the P600 to boot properly, just reboot to recovery...
Maybe just changing the asserts from lt03lte to n1awifi - lt03wifiue will work?
This weekend I will try again!
Thanks!!

The processors are different between the LTE model (P605) and the 3G models , look carefully in the specifications in GSM arena.
There are also some other differences !

    This is only for SM-P605 (lt03lte)! Even loading an custom recovery will irreversible trigger Knox to 0x1!

    Here some warm pie for our Note 10.1 2014 LTE.

    LineageOS (former CyanogenMod) is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 9 (Pie) , which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

    Code:
    #include <std_disclaimer.h>
    /*
     * Your warranty is now void.
     *
     * We are not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
     * thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
     * do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
     * before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
     * you point the finger at us for messing up your device, we will laugh at you.
     *
     */

    LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. You will need to provide your own Google Applications package (GApps). LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

    All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS GitHub repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit Gerrit Code Review.

    How to flash:
    -Be sure you are on 5.1.1 Bootloader and Modem (Flash 5.1.1 firmware via Odin) !
    -Flash TWRP (version 3.2.1-0 or newer needed)
    -Make Nandroid backup (optional)
    -Wipe > Advanced Wipe > select data, system, ART/Dalvik Cache, Cache, Internal Storage > Swipe
    -Install > select Lineage 16.0 Zip > Swipe
    -Reboot

    Please read full OP before posting or flashing anything. Please don't report any bugs, if you use Xposed, any mod or modified the system.

    So, finally a new build for Pie.

    Unfortunately still no working camera.
    I spent many hours finding the issue, but no success.
    I dont' find anything usefull in the log in the middle of the usual camera blob spam.
    Oddly enough on SM-P905 (Note Pro 12.2) the camera works while the camera blobs are identical (practical also the rest of camera related stuff).

    Thanks again to the Developer for his efforts....Extraordinary how our table can stay uodated thanks to these guys....
    Question to the Users...is this release good enough for daily use ..considering that I need full functionality of S-pen ( using Squid and S-notes), camera, wifi and LTE, Bluetooth, gps....in few words...which are the real limitations...if any?
    Thanks a lot again to all
    Since camera and gps is not working and the dev recommends to not use this test version in a productive environment, I would stick to the last stable , which is the 7.1.2 rom (https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga...om-unofficial-cyanogenmod-14-1-30-10-t3490761), security patch is up to date, so you won't miss anything important. To me the LineageOS 16 (Pie) version is just a bit quicker in terms of responsiveness and less battery drain.
