This rom is so picky about when it decides to work. Was on a pretty much working dec build and I tried to update to the jan build just to get another bootloop. Slightly different from the previous failed clean installs as the lineage logo no longer freezes before the loop, the screen instead goes to minimum brightness and blacks out to reboot straight into recovery.

I have not performed a clean install since LOS 14.1. Since then only with updates until LOS 17.1...:)
I love this rom and valera1978 works and usually it was the same (dirty flash) for me till this update,: for this last update i had to clean install because of recovery loop like alantay report

A clean wipe works but that means if you want to update you'll have to start from scratch every time.
...and for this reason, some post before, i was asking which folders can i restore from nandroid backup after clean install trying not to start from scratch next time...

Nandroid backups are very useless in my case. Everytime I restore a backup WiFi gets disabled permanently until I clean wipe and install a rom that works. If you tap the switch in settings to turn Wifi on it immediately switches back off.

As for the bootloops I don't know why it happens but it just does. The only version that worked perfectly off the bat was oreo for me. 9.0 never gave me a working install and 10.0 has been tedious but it has been able to install properly if the stars align.

I hope next time dirty flash will go ok, eventually i will try to restore a nandroid backup after updating (which folder have I to not overwrite, in order to mantain last update and restore data?), so i will tell you if wifi issue present himself also to my smp905...

In case of new issues about dirty flash for lineage 17.1 i will switch back to Lineage 16 (Pie)

If you restore a nandroid from an older version I'm pretty sure something will go badly wrong and you probably won't be able to boot, let alone get your data back. But assuming dirty flash works, you wouldn't have to restore anything anyway.

I suppose you have not to restore all folders but just some, i never use it before, I will study about it ...but there must be a way...meanwhile, if some one want to explain... :)

I had also no rotation issue...
Well then it's strange. Everything else works perfectly, and the rotation also works for a short while at the beginning after every reboot, but very soon I find it doesn't rotate as expected again, and then I will have to restart the device to make it work again.

Another minor issue that I saw, is that every time I restarted the device, the system time will always roll back to a same time which is 13th Feb. And the 'use network-provided time' & 'use network-provided time zone' feature doesn't work at all, not even for once. Although I can always set the time manually, it's just a little bit annoying.

All that said, I really find this rom to be great for daily use, everything else worked smoothly. Thanks again for your great work on this , and I just hope someone can help me figure out what exactly is going wrong with my device.
