I had similar issue after I flashed the latest ROM update. Once I flashed the update, I wasn't able to run the tablet without facing crash when the lineage logo is loading - then after each crash I was taken back to TWRP.
I was able to get out from the loop by flashing bitgapps - https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software/custom-bitgapps-android-t4012165
Hi all, I've the same problem.
With or without GApps... all the versions of Lineage 17 are crashing during the boot.

I see the same problem with Lineage 16: it works until the 08/2019 release and next I have the same result of Lineage 17 - flash, reboot, loading (several minutes) reboot and recovery mode.

Please help me! ;)

There seem to be too many downloads on the gdrive link (gdrive error) for the latest update. Can someone provide a mirror ?

EDIT: working again :)

Well then it's strange. Everything else works perfectly, and the rotation also works for a short while at the beginning after every reboot, but very soon I find it doesn't rotate as expected again, and then I will have to restart the device to make it work again.

Another minor issue that I saw, is that every time I restarted the device, the system time will always roll back to a same time which is 13th Feb. And the 'use network-provided time' & 'use network-provided time zone' feature doesn't work at all, not even for once. Although I can always set the time manually, it's just a little bit annoying.

All that said, I really find this rom to be great for daily use, everything else worked smoothly. Thanks again for your great work on this , and I just hope someone can help me figure out what exactly is going wrong with my device.
Everything above confirmed

I want to download Gapps and I have few questions:
- is it really necessary to download and install it, after installing L 17.1?
- I understand I need gapps for ARM and android 10, it's true?

I have a SM-P905 (LTE).

Any known problems with 17.1?

Or I should install 17.0 or 16.0 for now and wait?

@armanys
I also have a P905. Well, afaik you don't have to install the Gapps, but most people want Playstore and other Google apps. Without Gapps you have to resort to F-Droid or something similar.
Yes, Gapps for Android 10 ARM. Not ARM64. Unfortunately the largest Package is micro. Use the provided TWRP by Valera1978 not the last official image, it does not work.
Valera1978 updates the image from time to time, but it still has major problems since years. I assume these problems are all in the kernel/drivers and hard to fix. S-Pen Palm rejection is dead since 14.1 and Bluetooth crashes regularly on heavy usage. All other problems are documented in this thread.
Getting a new large android tablet is difficult these days. Google dropped pure android tablet development and newer Samsung tablets are maxing out at 10" since P90X. There are rumors that Samsung would bring a large S7 this year, we'll see about that.

Can someone who is using Valera's latest 20200411 April security patch build validate if an old bug still exists? With earlier builds that I've tried, if I plug the tablet into a PC using a USB cable, the tablet would hang when I tapped on the notification option to switch the connection mode to USB file transfer. On the latest build, is that still a problem?

Also, in the earlier builds that I've tried, the UI response was very slow. Even scrolling through apps in the launcher was slow and laggy, like everything was being rendered in software mode and the CPU couldn't keep up. Is this also still a problem on the April 2020 build?

Thanks in advance.

Any chance we could make this rom work with TeamViewer Quick Support?
Currently it's not possible to view the screen remotely.

BT nice work report and some problems

Bluetooth keyboard and mouse

BT Keyboard Quelle Q.8112 and BT mouse TECKNET both work like a charm.
At the low battery level it is possible to have unexpected reboot and BT service stop working messages after restart. I guess it could be a calibration problem for very old battery.

Mouse
For the mouse the keys BACK, FORWARD, Right MOUSE, Left MOUSE and the WHEEL are available.

Keyboard
all multimedia keys, change language key, e-mail, brightness control.
CTRL+C, CTRL+V, CTRL+X work as expected.
ALT-TAB to switch applications,
ALT-ESC could be used to go to the home screen (does not work in Chrome for example)
CTRL+SPACE switch keyboard layout (or dedicated Language switch key)
SEARCH+B calls browser
SEARCH+C calls contacts
It is a pity WINDOWS key has no use, although it could be programmed with 3 party software (see known problems)

Known problems

1) TIME: I have to adjust the time for several hours after each cold restart, the clock remain exactly for 2d 19h 21m (time control set to manual, no SIM card inserted, location services off)

2) ACCESSIBILITY: The software which uses the Accessibility services could cause unexpected reboot and bootloop thereafter! I had troubles with "Multi-action Home Button" and "Button Mapper". Had to manually remove program with Twrp file manager to be able to boot again.

3) ROTATON: Auto screen rotation is a bit laggy sometimes, but I am OK with it.

My config is: clean full wipe install, gapps micro, no root, quite a minimal set of software installed
