Thank you very much Valera1978! I've got back a usable tablet because of your work and LineageOS!

Upon first install and using OpenGapps pico, the P905 rebooted unexpectedly every once in a while, making it very unstable. After I wiped every possible thing I could wipe and reinstalled with BiTGApps, it works like a charm (no reboots)

The S Pen was my main reason for getting the tablet. So, palm rejection support would be an awesome addition.

I'm glad to run a new version of android for note pro 12.2.
Of course we are still at the beginning, the system is at an early stage, there are not even official gapps.
But already a lot of stuff work.

Recorder works, but all other apps not.
Is this a base problem with lineageos? Anybody a idea how to fix this?
Deactivated already Google Assistant, but no success.

When I select use USB for File Transfer, my tablet crashes as well. It reboots the device out of nowhere. Plz fix this, @Valera1978

Please forgive me if this is a stupid or inappropriate question. I am completely new to this and have spent many hours trying to find an answer before bugging you.

I have a Samsung SM-P900 Note Pro 12.2. I had 4.4.2, and I wanted to upgrade it. I have never rooted a device before. When I got stuck, I posted a question, and @rhricik447 was kind enough to point me in the right direction. With his guidance and lot more research, I succeeded in upgrading the LineageOS 14.1. That vastly enhanced my enjoyment of the device.

I saw your unofficial download for 17.1 on the P905. Out of curiosity, I downloaded it and the version 10.0 of ARM Gapps. I tried to install it and encountered an Error 7. I am just not educated enough to know if your download will work on the P905 (LTE) version but not the P900 (Wifi) version. If you happen to know and could tell me, I would really appreciate it. I don't want to take up your time with instructions or advice. I can easily restore the decide to 14.1. I went for it because I was having Hulu issues that I could not answer, and I thought it worth a try to see if that would fix it. I am not worried about bricking the device. I'm just having fun learning how this whole thing works.

You can only load ROMs for your specific model. ROMs made for anything other than your SMP-900 won't work. While they may sound the same, they are two completely different devices - the SMP-905 /SMP-907 have a different CPU and has additional hardware that the SMP-900 doesn't have. The 901 doesn't have the pen.. You'll need to go back to SMP-900 ROMs. If you can still get into TWRP recovery, just flash your previous ROM, making sure you wipe cache, davlik cache and system first.

Think of ROMs as a combination of operating system, firmware and BIOS - everything has to match the device or it doesn't work.

Thanks again, that was exactly what I needed to know. A lot of the information I found across the internet just discussed the ROM in terms of the model. I knew that it might not work when I tried it, but it seemed to worth a try. Your earlier advice let me easily install 14.1, and I have reinstalled it. I now have a much better appreciation for how model-specific the ROMs need to be. Once again, you have been immensely helpful.

I needed to wipe it all and make a flash from scratch. Because when I tried to update, I got stuck on bootloop.

Seems like updating commonly causes bootloops so it's probably safer to expect to have to clean install every time.
