Hello @Valera1978

Can you please help me getting this image running? I followed the instructions, wiped the device, installed your lineage image and gapps, but now the tablet loops back to recovery after starting.

I offer a financial incentive to get this tablet running.
I flashed it today and it worked.

- Unlocking bootloader with Odin and installing TWRP
- TWRP backup of everything (just in case)
- Wipe data, system, dalvik and cache (vendor if there is it)
- install the rom
- if you want play store and google things install bitgapps (arm, not arm64)... None of android 11 openGapps are working to me (saying there's not enough space in system partition, but I'm still too newbie for extend partitions 😅)

That's it

As @Ghd182 suggests, install bitgapps (arm, not arm64).. The link that you mention is the source code, which is not what you want.

Go to the https://bitgapps.github.io/GHP-Downloads/ page, under Downloads, click in the "Link" for BiTGApps/ARM, click in "Files", and select the right package. In this case, Lineage 18.1 is Android 11, so download the BiTGApps-arm-11.0.0-R45_signed.zip file (or the latest A11 file).

Hi @All

First of all: Thank you to @Valera1978 and all other helpers get this working.

After working on it for several times, this time it worked after about 24 hours of my life.

To make it short:
- Downloaded CF-Auto-Root with Odin 3.10.6, Odin 3.13.1, TWRP 3.2.2.0 (from Odin) and Samsung USB drivers 1.7.50.0
- Installed Samsung drivers
- Downloaded LineageOS 18.1 viennalte may update as .zip to Micro SD card
- Inserted Micro SD card in SM-P905
- Connected SM-P905 to Windows PC
- Got on SM-P905 and searched under settings for build number and tapped it about 7 to 8 times to get dev options
- Switched to dev options, enabled USB debugging and waited for window to accept this computer anytime
- Got root with CF-Auto-Root in Odin 3.10.6 (waited for "PASS")
- Switched SM-P905 off and pressed buttons Vol down + Home + Power simultaneously for about 5-10 seconds until download mode opened and pressed Vol up and then Power to be able to flash files to SM-P905
- Ran Odin 3.13.1 and clicked "BL" to flash TWRP 3.2.2.0 and waited for "PASS"
- After reboot (or without reboot) I pressed Vol up + Home + Power together for (maybe) more than 15 seconds until TWRP 3.2.2.0 ran
- Did advanced wipe in section "Wipe" and hooked all except SD card and USB
- Got back and installed LineageOS 18.1 and followed instructions shown

Note:
- Pay attention to how much is installed on SD card. If too much, it will show installed but without any bytes.
- TWRP 3.2.2.0 (3.2.2-0) for viennalte is necessary. Other versions will fail.
- Do it on your own risk. You should do a backup before.
- I did that routine from Lollipop 5.0.2, but it should also work from Kitkat 4.4.2.

I hope this will help you much more than many other posts on the web only saying half the truth.

@Riggie1000 little addition from my side:
1. To flash CF-autoroot is only useful if you want to stay on stock firmware but rooted.
Which means if you want any custom ROM just flash TWRP and reboot DIRECTLY to it for further flashing.

2. I (and others) recommend a "Format Data" after wiping as well.

3. Afaik the higher/newer stock bootloader is essential to flash even LOS14.1.

Ah ok. I'm just a noob in flashing phones and tablets, but this is the way it worked for me.

Yes, I can see some of my photos now as well. Some others are broke.

Hi shards, I think I have adapted the fix you provided previously to lineage 18.1 and tested it on a SM-P900. So far everything seems fine. UPD: after testing it seems to no longer crash randomly when s pen is in use, but it does still randomly crash when your palm is on the touch screen seemingly

Replace the following files with the attached versions:
srcroot/frameworks/native/services/inputflinger/reader/mapper/TouchInputMapper.h
srcroot/frameworks/native/services/inputflinger/reader/mapper/TouchInputMapper.cpp

It seems like they just moved stuff around for 11.

Is there any news to make palm rejection work? I would try to compile it myself, but I cant even find the srcroot folder you mention in any of the @Valera1978 repos.

That's the best ROM for this tablet I think, and the stock lineage os recovery is even working tow! Thanks a lot of this ROM!

I have 3x P905 5.0.2 with no OEM UNLOCK, but I was able to flash twrp-2.8.7.0-viennaltexx.img.tar with odin and after that upgrade to official 3.0.2-0 or unofficial 3.2.2.0.

Later upgraded to Lineage 18.1, all seems to work perfectly (I have it just few days) with exception of SIM.
(well... maybe not everything, webcams on videocalls don't, will try mixer_paths fix)

Will try Lineage 19...

Great thanks to Valera1978.
The Rom worked perfectly for me except the chat apps.
They where always crash after 3 seconds.
Then i replaced the "mixer_paths.xml" file, As the member "dddidi" described in message #49.
Now every thing work perfectly.
