@ Safariking do you have plans to update this rom with root some mods and may be customization
Edit: tomorrow I'll try and root it and see if I can replace or port over some apps from the Note 3 and other stuff.

Love the ROM. Thanks for the hard work.

Just a quick question to anyone trying this rom, how do you root it? In general I think the rom is great but I am having problems rooting it.

Thanks for the advice and help.

Somehow it seems that this rom has some issues trying to use TWRP recovery. When I switched to Philz, I had no problems other than the 1 time WLAN crash and reboot of WLAN. After that, everything went well (including root)

I'll be happy to test build 2. build1 seems very stable in its functionality but it does have some small issues like when you try to root and install the super user. it tells you to update the superuser su binary, but when it tries to, it fails.

but other than having rooting issues, the Rom seems very stable. well at least what I could test in one day.

keep up the good work. I look forward to permanently upgrading to KitKat soon.

Try to find and download the file: UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.99.zip from this forum. Put it in the external SD card together with the ROM downloadd from this thread. I used TWRP 2.7.1 recovery without any issue. After wiping data/factory reset, install the ROM, then without booting the SuperSU file mentioned above, then boot into system and the tab will be rooted,

Im not an experienced tester, but I did find something that I find annoying.

Every time I reboot. I get the message that I mounted an SD card and when I try to download a file from the Webbrowser or for example Dropbox, the I don't have the ability to navigate and download the file into the SD card. It only gives me directory options for the internal card.

Another bug I found is that when I try to change the system fonts in the Display setting, the Settings menu crashes and the other fonts options are not displayed

Yeah I had the exact same issues with SuperSu, in the end I used this http://download.clockworkmod.com/superuser/superuser.zip via TWRP.

Applied the External SD Card write fix for apps.

On another note, I've found TitaniumBackup runs slower & is a little buggy on 4.4.2 than on 4.2.2, & when I did a batch restore of all data to apps, it ran very slow & eventually produced a frozen black screen, needed to reboot then I was hit by a "System UIDs Inconsistent" popup.

Decided to run a data to app restore individually the next time after I set up again, seemed safer.

SuperSU doesn't working for me too, solved as Gilly suggested.
Finally got SuperSU working, I flashed the http://download.chainfire.eu/450/SuperSU/UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.00.zip via TWRP, rebooted & then went into the app, it'll say something about disabling KNOX, say yes, now when it give's two options of updating the binary select the TWRP/CWM option instead of Normal, it'll reboot into Recovery to do it's thing, now when you reboot the system, SuperSU should work as normal.

TitaniumBackup also seems to play nicer with SuperSU on 4.4.2, I now have no constant superuser permission notifications like I had with Koush's Superuser app when batch restoring, plus batch restore is a lot faster/smoother now too because of that.

When prompted to disabling KNOX, I've choosed Cancel: it works fine (when I coosed OK, it stuck on trying...).
