AMAZING! Works np. Even on a reboot still keeps the mac addy. TY so much!

Glad it worked out, I had an idea that it'd work for this, the only issue is of you have the randomiser on you can pollute the mac table on your router and because the mac is randomised it won't show the chip correctly.

Great rom, working great with your dual boot kernel. Installed Link2SD to play games and dont want to download the game data again. Install on first rom your game/app let it update and download all files, go to second rom us install the game/app then use link2sd create link. No more need to download extra data Thanks for all your efforts terimah kasi

I resolved the MAC issue by editing one of the base config files. Was a while ago, exact details I don't recall.
Development on the tab 3 Roms seems to have come to a rather abrupt halt, the cm12 builds suffer all the same issues

I just did something similar. Went to system -> etc -> wifi then edited the the "macaddr" entry in the six files that start with "nvram". Pry fi shows the original mac address didn't change however the current mac address is in fact the one in the edited files.

Going to WiFi -> advanced shows the new Mac address is being used too.

It seems that I'm the only person here having problem with this ROM (and others also) installed on Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 (SM-T311 3g)... My problem is using any bluetooth headset with any ROM other than original... Whatever ROM I install, pair the same headset (SAMSUNG HM-1700, a very good and well know headset) or another headset from a local importer (PBL-100)... Both work with tablet and original ROM very well... Also, these 2 were tested on an LG P700 with CM 11 ROM (KitKat 4.4.4) and both work well...
Anyone has any idea as to what could I search/try/change/whatever, to be able to use another ROM with this tablet?
Judging from the posts here, I conclude that only me has the problem...

Do a nandroid backup of your current setup though before you do this just in case my suggestion doesn't work and you want to go back.

Thank you very much for your answer... I don;t remember which period/version I started changing ROM's to this tablet, but I'll do what you suggest during the weekend... I'll let you know, what's my progress...

I too have the same bluetooth issue with all non-stock ROM's I've tried. The headset will get paired, I could able to use it as usual, but during the phone calls it will not work. Only some weird noise I can listen.

I'll try to flash the CM11 from 3rd Sep or before builds. Thank you for the suggestion.

Unrelated to tab 8 i'm getting persistent play store error in gs3 as of recent fw. If you're getting "google play stopped" error i tried reinstalling gapps and fw but it didn't fix it so i uninstalled play store. Try reinstalling gapps maybe.

Unrelated to tab 8 i'm getting persistent play store error in gs3 as of recent fw. If you're getting "google play stopped" error i tried reinstalling gapps and fw but it didn't fix it so i uninstalled play store. Try reinstalling gapps maybe.

You need the newer gapps for 4.4.4 sounds like. I have the micro pa gapps, and they work perfectly. I posted them on afh for you or whoever needs them.

FIRST... Go to recovery and try wiping cache & dalvick cache there, then reboot to system. Check and see if that fixed your issue. I sometimes fail to mention things, if they are common sense to me. Not everyone works with tech here on a daily basis though, so I edited to include a simple, possible fix to small 'glitches' that can, and usually do happen.

Do you have auto/full screen rotation? May need to be enabled in settings>display. Without a lot of trouble shooting I can give you 2 steps to follow that should resolve the issue (Knowing if screen rotation OK s functioning properly helps...). First make sure rotation is working properly... Then download an app from market called 'Z-DeviceTest'. There are others that can check the sensors, but I like this one simple GUI personally and the dev for this app totally rocks So use it please. The 5th row down and center has the 'Vibrator' status. Make sure it's functional before we start getting deep into this. Also, be sure all your sensors are in good order.

Reply back to this post when you've done this. I also need to know if you're using 4.4.2 or 4.4.4. I have an SM-T310 running both versions. I can use the appropriate version device to help you trouble shoot I believe. I've never experienced this though. In the end... Just locate the stock firmware on XDA and if it shows the vibrator is functioning, the easiest fix is (as always with any device having issues like this) to flash back to stock. I can help you with that if you need asst.

Edit: You will also need to download a fresh copy of the ROM... get the one that's newest. It's built on 4.4.4, and I've had zero issues with it thus far. Be sure and msg back before flashing anything. I'm unsure of your experience level with devices, and just want to be certain you make backups on apps/data and run a nandroid just in case of any issue (bad flashing cable, power dies, currupt file, zombie apocalypse) Its good to be prepared.. LoL

Excellent fix If you flashed to stock, and it's now functioning... You 'should' be good to flash CM back to it now; That is, if you haven't already. I was no help then hahaha... but I'm glad you resolved your device issues. My sm-t310 has vibration with all buttons, if enabled by me anyway. Both were fine... 4.4.2 & 4.4.4. Have a good night
