I'm having trouble installing the Rom on my tablet.
I think it's because of the model, because it has a slightly different name.

When I install the LineageOS rom (gtaxllte), after installation it is bootloop.
Do you know any ROM that works with this model?

The Problem is, that you have a P585.
You'll need a T580 or T585 for this Rom.

I test this ROM for nearly two weeks now. Before I've used LinageOS 17.1.
Everything works fine here but there is one thing I want to know.
Since I use this ROM the tablet downloads every day about 7 GB from different cloudfront servers.
I use this tablet only for home automation! I don't watch Netflix or YouTube or something else that would explain these downloads!
Of course there are some google services and such things that do some things in the background but 7GB per day? With the old ROM it was about 350MB per day.
I would be very happy if someone would explain this to me.

I took a closer look at the situation and forced the tablet to connect to the Internet through a proxy. This brought clarity. In the background, the tablet is constantly downloading data from *.izatcloud.net. The server must have something to do with AGPS.
Next I will try to disable the location services and see if anything changes. I will report back.

Okay yesterday I disabled the location services and everything is fine now!

I've tested the lineage-18.1-20210909-UNOFFICIAL-gtaxlwifi. It seems be work without any problem. Thank you for your great work
Anybody here who directly compared this CrDroid rom against the Lineage 18.1 in terms of stability (as daily driver) and battery consumption?
I use NikGapps as well like fiddi1973, but I am using the full version of it in order to have the Google assistant and other apps working.
The main problem that I have with my tablet is that when I install the Full version of the NikGapps the tablet just never boots and just stuck on the booting animation. I found out that in order to make the assistant and other apps to work I just needed to modify the full version of nikgapps.config file where you can easily set what apps and services to install.
So what I did was as follows: installed the Core version of NikGapps; navigated to the configuration nikgapps.config file of NikGapps and set all the apps and services that I wanted to 1 (mainly core services and apps plus the google assistant) and then did the NikGapps installation again but of the full version; doing a second installation of full version it will first check the configuration file and install only the packadges that you have set to 1 in the nikgapps.config file.
Just got this ROM installed on my T585, and after a few wipes and different gapps I finally got it running with NikGapps Core. So far so good. Then the huge bump in the road appeared. According to Google Play, I have no space for apps. According to Storage, I have only 30% used space, so should be 6-7gigs left to install apps on, but to no avail. Installing apps from APK's works fine, but downloading files to internal drive is impossible. Anyone got som tips on how to fix this?

There will be no builds for SM-T585 (gtaxllte).
But you can install the 580 (WiFi) builds onto 585 (LTE) devices as well.
The ROM installer has been changed to allow installation onto 585 devices too.
Of course, all Mobile stuff (LTE) will not work. GPS and Vibration will not work due to different hardware.

As was always planned, since I've moved onto 18.1, from now on, I'm going to be releasing new 18.1 builds. A new thread for my builds will be made slightly later on. My build can be installed on top of @followmsi's builds as usual without doing anything further.
Changelog (from @followmsi's last build):
- Latest changes from LineageOS. The crashes that occurred when setting a new wallpaper that were discussed earlier in this thread appear to have been fixed.
- Merges of the latest changes from AOSP, including the 20210405 security updates, have been picked to skip the wait for them to be merged. (
repopick -t android-11.0.0_r34) - The same workaround that was used on 17.1 to get USB tethering and Bluetooth internet access sharing to work has been forward-ported and applied.
- vintf manifest override enforcement is now enabled.
- The vendor/lib[64]/egl/libGLES_mali.so blobs are now symlinked to vendor/lib[64]/vulkan.exynos5.so, rather than copied to vendor/lib[64]/hw/vulkan.exynos5.so - This is a proper fix for Vulkan support.
- RSA key verification for ADB is enabled again, and ADB isn't enabled by default and on boot anymore.
- There are some updates from the 3.18 Android common kernel and Linux 4.4 to the kernel.
