I tell you guys,
this was the last time I bought a Samsung tablet device. The stock firmware is incredible slow, even galaxy tab s6 seems to be a joke, because the stock firmware causes micro lags and the Knox security system is always a pain.

Further more there is no samsung tablet device with spen and a bug free custom rom.
With all custom roms for s3 the spen is useless and with stock rom Knox causes randomly, that the system stops booting on pie, because of root and you have to wipe everything.

Not sure if answered but I fixed this by:
Copying the complete line ro.vendor.build.fingerprint.................. from the /system/build.prop file.
Paste replacing the line ro.vendor.build.fingerprint.................. in the /vendor/build.prop file.
These files crosscheck each other looking for this line. The files must be from different builds.

Soft bricking?

Anyone else experiencing a soft brick after installing this rom? I'm stuck on rebooting to the Samsung logo again & again

My lines were the same but I still copied and pasted the system build line into vendor build.
Config files can contain an error that is not obvious so worth a try. Worked for me.

for sure not . this rom is a excellent experience for the performance like surfing and Microsoft apps with the keyboard cover . but yes the s pen does not work ...

honestly I will use my tab s3 in the tweaked rom till it dies then I will definitely buy a iPad Pro ... no comparison ;/ @samsung your software sucks @devs can't you optimize the bugs I mean if I think about the last 4 5 years what devs where able to do... to day they first show they Donate PayPal link FIRSt - lächerlich

Okey after instilling this rom I notice graphical problems ( unusual color in games and apps) I shortly uninstall the and flash back my stock rom. After I did this when ever i tap the power button on or off my screen will flicker ( looks like a broken tv when it happens ). I now think my tablet is now brickt it will not turn on anymore. Just a heads up they may or not happen to you but be care full not sure if it was this rom that did this but it does seem like it.

So I tested this rom on my T820 Wifi and in my opinion it works pretty stable, except of some issues I recognised:

- Saving pictures does not work. The pictures I get are scrambled.
- sd cards in ntfs format not working
- Palm rejection is not working
- ed xposed causes boot into download mode
- screen wakup is sometimes slow
- Viper4Android is not working
- Speaker only working on one site (right)
- it's not possible to rename SD Card or uninstall any system app like mail-app via root
- Netflix is not working
- Not possible to activate a custom notification sound
- Adaway only working with systemless host activated in magisk
- trying to use miracast causes a complete crash of system ui and makes a reboot necessary
- digital wellbeing randomly fc if settings menu is open
- sometimes hardware buttons stuck and i have to wait 5 sec until I can use them again

*update: On second build same issues and camera just force close, now

may be related to overheat during boot (happening here at this second) and then follows damage of parts of the screen. can be, indeed, related to the custom rom. it happened to me in galaxy s5 with official nightly lineage/cyanogenmod. i would never rule that out for any custom rom.

I am sorry, but i am back to stock rom.
I don't think, that any of the issues are fixed with latest build. There is nothing mentioned in the changelog and normally the dev only releases source- and security updates but no fixes after his first release. At least he did it on lineage os 16.

So sad that there is so little improvement for the S3! I think even Samsung has stopped any further updates for it.

The handling of the S-pen is essential for this tab and the main difference to other tabs as well.

a quick report from the version from 24.12.2019: installed very fast (under 5 mins). first install were not working because i forgot to double-proof DATA partition as stated in TWRP instructions for Oreo. now everything seems smooth. i will test the apps (netflix) that requires magisk hide to work and report back. as well i will check if temperatures are working normally.

Anyone got Netflix working with this rom?

I downlowed liboemcrypto.so on Magisk, it hides root from DRM so apps like Netflix can play.

Also, When I first updated from 8.0 to 9.0 I got the Same message you did and the reason was because in the developers section I had OEM debug disabled. What I was told I had done was "bricked" my tablet. So, I am not technical enough to unbrick my own tablet so I went to 1Click Root and for $40.00 they unbricked it and will install any custom rom you want. It took a while because one of the files they had to download took 4 hours from a very slow server. You might get lucky and get a tech that has a lot of the files they use stored on his own Google 1 account. Good luck

Loving this room so far. Had no idea that Lineage could make an almost 3 year old laggy tablet feel like a brand new device! The one problem I'm having is brightness control. I normally keep the screen between 90-100% but every now and then the screen goes to 50% and then down to 0%. Adaptive is turned off. A reboot doesn't help. Just seems to clear on its own. Did a full wipe and re-loaded the rom from scratch and it still happens. Any ideas or solutions would be much appreciated.

Yep. Same issue here. I had a rooted original rom (i think android 8 or 9). Tried flashing lineage OS 17 as per the instructions, and now Im really stuck in a boot loop - cant recover at all. RIght now im waiting for the stock rom to download, so I can try that one. Cant make it boot system at all

Did you solve the issue? and if yes, how?

Incredible, after falshing I can´t complete the Android Installation Welcome Wizard. It asks for a wifi (mandatory) after that the dialog says it´s searching for updates. After a minute or so says it cant connect. So I can´t even finish the wizard. Very frustrating (
