Well, after reflashing the device behaved different and now it´s working ok. I don´t know what really happened in the first flash.
What I see is (vía Google Truts) that this compiled LOS ROM has no enabled SELinux...... ¿? Not sure exactly why.

After flashing this ROM I see that the terrible wifi fail happens. The wifi transfer rate drops to zero for almost 1 o 2 minutes.
Sadly ROM unusable

What kind of signature are you talking about ? Sorry for bothering you, but I don't know what is this, so tomorrow or earlier I will try to flash that ROM for my Tab S3 (T825).

If you want to check firmware - please make backup. Better to store all partitions, at least efs and may be modem.

Instructions
1. Install twrp
2. Download the zip(s) - firmware and Google Apps additional package (optional)
3. Backup all partitions (it least efs) and store somewhere - it need to do - because you can loose imei
4. Full wipe all
5. Flash firmware and gapps

Well, finally solved. The key was that in the wellcome wizard of android I told it to use the backup of my actual phone. Then android used exactly the same configuration (as the phone) to setup the wifi, including the fixed IP. So my phone and my tablet both had the same IP in the LAN. No one of them showed any error, message or warning. But after investigation I fanally detected that. Thanks in advance to all fo you.

Have issue unlocking, once I lock the screen pressing the power button doesn't show the lock screen. The screen continues to stay blank.
The device reboots multiple times unexpectedly and unprecedentedly

I am sorry, but i am back to stock rom.
I don't think, that any of the issues are fixed with latest build. There is nothing mentioned in the changelog and normally the dev only releases source- and security updates but no fixes after his first release. At least he did it on lineage os 16.

Hey Stogie, for me the installation of the new version worked very good. Only Netflix was an issue, having to return to an old version because of Netflix's new architecture in the app. Other than that, from all the items you mentioned not working for you I had no issues. To be honest I did not test the pictures issue, the rest is not really relevant to me. For me the tablet is only a reading device (e-books, magazines, comics, pdf's), so it does not really matter anything else than easy of configuration and saving battery. The latter is performing a loooot better than with original samsung's firmware. br

a quick report from the version from 24.12.2019: installed very fast (under 5 mins). first install were not working because i forgot to double-proof DATA partition as stated in TWRP instructions for Oreo. now everything seems smooth. i will test the apps (netflix) that requires magisk hide to work and report back. as well i will check if temperatures are working normally.

Thanks, but i bought the device because of the SPen and with this rom you can't is it, because of the missing palm rejection feature. In your case a norml galaxy Tab would do the job, if you don't need the pen.

You go to your control panel and open it and on that page on the left side you will see "edit signature" click on that. It will open your signature page where you can edit your signature and then save.

I had the same and found no way to fix it. Changed things in build.prop and tried several magisk modules to fix it, but nothing helped.

Do you have a micro SD card ?.
Try, before, back up efs.
After format the tablet.
Then make a factory reset wipe, and after wipe dalvik, system, data, cache and internal storage.
Then flash the ROM, and flash after NikGapps instead of Open Gapps.
And after, restore efs.
Reboot it and try if if works.

Been trying to get this working for a couple of days - system boots fine but requires Magisk to be stable (otherwise it reboots shortly after booting into the OS). The big issue for me is that the microphone doesn't work. Reflashed back to stock 9.0 build with Odin and everything's fine, then a dirty flash of lineage 17.1 on top (format data + factory restore only) to see if maybe some drivers were missing, but still no ability for the mic to pick anything up. Has anybody else run into this? I should add I'm using the latest 20200113 build.

... there is no palm rejection feature for spen.

Palm rejection is broken on LineageOS' side. Nothing he can do there besides fixing it in LOS master.

Maybe don't hate on devs so much and fix it yourself. It's open source for a reason.

Bringing this back to topic - do other people have a working mic? Ie, works with Google Assistant/Camera video recording/Recorder? Happy to help dig into this, but I have no idea whether this is a kernel driver issue, config issue etc. If you do have a working mic, what was your installation process, and are you coming from stock Pie/Android 9 from Samsung?
