Unpack the tweaked rom zip file, and flash the boot image that is in there in twrp, then flash magisk after that, it will work
You mean the "boot.img" file from "SM+T820+ARA2+TWEAKED+2.0+by+rorymc928". But isn't that file already modified? Isn't that why Magisk refuse to install, saying that the image is already patched by another program?

Yes, that one, flash as image in twrp, it's not modified, supersu is installed after rom flashes when you install tweakedRom

Thanks! Do I need to uninstall SuperSU first, or just flash the boot.img and then magisk? If I have to uninstall SuperSU, should I do it through the SuperSU app (the interface)?

Yes, It doesn't hurt to flash it, but i think magisk 16 clears those files

Version 2.1 super user + 3minit battery mod

https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=746010030569961124

To set up,
1. open app xposed installer (pre installed),
2. Tap on install /update ... Version....
Follow the instructions, no need to go to recovery, works fine directly, it then requires reboot.
3. After reboot open exposed installer again, it will show green as installed/may require selection of on switch first.
4. Use the menu, top left to open modules, this should show gravity box, tick the switch to activate, requires reboot again
5. Open gravity box from app or within xposed to app via menu, for further selection
6. You can remove the extra stock battery icon from within gravity box status bar settings

Gravity box allows a large number of mods to the system most active without reboot, some/a few won't work.
Clock configuration /status bar colours do function as intended

PS. for those not wanting to use exposed, there are apps available for removing the stock battery

3minit battery,
Large number of battery styles and colours available through the app,

Let me know how it works for you :D

any Chace of getting tweak 2.1 with magisk?
You need twrp to flash this so you should be able to flash magisk in twrp. I haven't done this but what I'd do is flash this room. Then format data. Then flash magisk zip then ashyx's no-verity-no-encrypt zip. You can install the magisk apk after boot up. Do this at your own risk. Worse case is you'd have to Odin stock firmware and start all over again. As usual backup anything you want to keep prior to doing anything.

Ok uploading altered version of 2.1magisk. This will require factory reset,so start backing up.
1. If you have xposed installed, either select it off in the app or uninstall, I only selected it off.
2. Boot to TWRP
3. Go to wipe, and select factory data reset.
4. Install ROM
5. Long boot........,
6. Ignore the xposed force close
7. Do your normal startup load.
8. Magisk will function at this point
9. If you wish to operate xposed as well,go to the xposed installer app(magisk version preinstalled),open it and install the framework, which will be systemless. Non recovery installation works fine. It will require reboot.
10. Magisk will pass safetynet check whilst xposed is selected off by its switch, otherwise it indicates fail. So you can swap, as needed by work perhaps.

Internal SD storage should remain , but back up all you rely on ,just in case .

****Your choice if you dont want xposed at all, either dont set it up or freeze it in app settings****

I'm coming over to the new TWEAKED 2.1 build from the Unofficial LOS from 3/1/18. Lineage OS required a different version of TWRP (v3.2.1) from the ashyx version. Does it matter which TWRP i use? In the Lineage OS thread, the DEV stated "Unfortunately Twrp from @ashyx doesn't work here because of incorrect links to partitions in recovery." Now is that just for Lineage OS and ashyx's is meant for stock/tweaked builds?

If the partitions have changed I would expect they won't be correct for stock,. If you are changing back you would need to do the change in the same session, to be safest. Odin flash stock twrp, boot into new stock twrp then flash this ROM. Someone may correct me on that, but I suspect it would be the safest.
Did they give a reason for changing the partitions?
