Can you install clean version with all wipes? Or even play with any firmware via treble? Because in your log very specific errors, I saw it only on the my another exynos tablet only.
In anyway i just finished project treble for T820 and will review device tree (820/825) bases on it. On weekend i'll update lineage\crdroid.

P.s. Otg is still a mystery to me. I see only one explanation, the tablet does not provide power to the type-c and it should be somehow related to the kernel. I'll continue work with otg.
What do you mean with "play with any firmware via treble"? I did nothing like that. Maybe it has to do with the tweaked experience roms from xda for this device. But i wiped everything before i flashed your LOS build. I don't know what i should do to fix this...

Install the regular Samsung firmware first and then try lineage again. That's how I did it and everything runs fine :)

I think a project treble was posted yesterday and wanted you to try it out. Check on Tab S3 thread.

Thx so much for your effort! This rom and even more the Treble approach you've offered adds enormeous value to our S3! And getting finall rid of Samsung firmware dependency would be just great! Is there any way to support your efforts?

Thank you for your effords but i have some bugs.
1. Connecting non broadcasted SSID Wifi networks, I mean hidden SSID wifi, First connection cannot see and connect wifi. First you have to show SSID from router, connect then hide it again to connect for later.
2. Screen mirroring not working. Doesnt discover both my android tv and chromecast. But my stock firm Note8 does.
3. Sometimes weird touches randomly on screen. Not very often but i see this more often when i open kodi

3. I haven't noticed any random touches on the screen yet

@Valera1978 thank you for bringing lineage to the t820! I was already thinking about trading this tablet in but your work is a gamechanger!

Do you accept donations? I would like to support your motivation for this project :)

I totally agree with that here! The LineageOS 16.0 @ my Tab S3 is twice as fast as under Samsungs' OS :good:

I would like to flash LineageOS 16 now.
Currently I am running rooted Stock rom, disabled updates (still Oreo, August 2017 patchlevel) with ashyx TWRP.

Can I just do the following to upgrade?
- flash Valeras repack TWRP from within ashyx TWRP
- reboot recovery
- flash lineage.zip from within the new TWRP
- done :)

Or do I need to update to all the latest firmware bits by updating to latest Stock rom first to ensure compatibility? I am not sure whether all the required blobs etc. are contained in the zip. Thank you for clarifying.

- flash gapps.zip (e.g. arm64 stock)
- flash Magisk 19.00.zip

That's correct but magisk doesn't pass safety net so I uninstalled and flash superuser to obtain root.

Don't understand that logic. Magisk offers much more than standard su and SaftyNet just doesn't work (yet) because the image is not signed!
Lineage Os is rooted but disabled, when enabled is (apps or adb only) but both are needed (apps and adb) so to me just enable it rather than going through the magisk process.

I must have done something wrong.

When I flash the repacked recovery, the recovery won't boot, reporting a red message 'RECOVERY IS NOT SEANDROID ENFORCING'.

Ashyx Recovery boots fine if I reflash that via Odin.

However after wiping everything, formating data and then flashing lineage and opengapps and fi ally rebooting, the tablet enters a bootloop right after the first yellow 'kernel' message.

I can only break out of this loop by going to recovery.

What did I do wrong? Do I maybe need to flash the latest stock firmware first after all?

EDIT:
Indeed it seems that the stock firmware must be on Oreo before Valeras Recovery and rom can be flashed and booted successfully.
So I downloaded the Firmware from here:
https://updato.com/firmware-archive...eo(Android+8.0.0)&order=date&dir=desc&exact=1
And flashed via Odin.
After that, the above procedure works and I am now configuring lineage on my S3 :)
Thanks for the help!

All was working just perfectly until I just decided to enable encryption. Now the device is in infinite bootloops and it looks like I will have to start all over again.

Is encryption known not to work with this rom, or does it just need additional steps?
