Did you try to lock the bootloader after the installation of the custom ROM?

As far as I know you shouldn't do that because your device will be in a boot loop if you run a custom ROM. We unlock the bootloader to run other OS than intended by the manufacturer of the given device in the first place.

Please correct me if I'm mistaken.

Oh, thank you! I did not know that. I read somewhere that they "fixed" the widevine-level-problem with relocking the bootloader but it could be possible that they previously flashed the stock ROM on the device.

It is unfortunately really uncomfortable with widevine level 3 when you are not able to stream HD content from Netflix Amazon Prime or SKY on a tablet which partly exists for media consumption.

that's the problem getting the SPEN recognition solved ? I mean its the only reason to keep this tablet for me and the stock rom is like **** .. this 400mb rom is superb but only SPEN is not working properly ..

can't we start a campaign (donating for the work of the modder/programmer with PayPal )

is a person who want to try this get solved ... just give us your pp and we would give like 5 euro per person etc

Which steps did you take? It is working for me.
I will update my experience after I use it for a few hours.

1. download the zips (rom, gapps, magisk)
2. wipe dalvik/cache, system and cache
3. install the zipps (rom, gapps, magisk)
4. reboot -> bootloop

I'm back on 20190811. Is a fullwipe needed?

Yes, this is the last bit I'd need to switch to LOS. I primarily use it for note-taking and without the s-pen working properly it's not worth it for me.

Sorry don't catch the point : got a galaxy tab s3 (SM-T820) and with the last LOS16 ROM the SPEN works perfectly well ?

Its not about the Spen - its about palm rejection, meaning screen turning off to touch input when the spen is in range.

There are still some Bugs in Version 20190913

thank you for the lineage OS 16.0 built for Galaxy Tab S3. Is running overall really well on my device , but there are still some bugs:

1. normal Headphones via audiojack and audiojack over usbc Adapter do not work

2. When I try to connect my bluetooth device (Speakers or Headset) I can not to play sound with it,because it is not possible to change the output device under settings --> sound --> play media to --> this device to the given output device. The output sound device shows up there but there is no possibility to select it.

3. If device Encryption is activated and Android boot up it normally ask the device PIN. In landscape mode comes instead of the PIN dialer just the emoji bar. With I enter the back botton the Pin dialer shows up again.

Maybe you can add some features like
- Support of the newest Netflix App ( last working version : 6.26.1)
- Support of full safety net integrity ( maybe with an on/ off switch for changes on the system partition)
- getting the SPen commands App working (maybe this do solve the palm rejection problem)

Hi there. Same problem here, but every few minutes/seconds. WiFi transfer drops to zero, then some seconds happens, and finally speed is recovered again. Very uncomfortable.

Also microphone is not recording any sound. The signal does not arrives to the app that is waiting for it. For example I activate the record in the keyboard and it keeps waiting despite I'm talking....

Sometimes wifi transfer (donwload and upload) stops for a a long time (minutes). Then, suddenly it recovers. Very strange.
1.- I can confirm ther´s no problem with my wifi (as other devices can connect without problems, included my Tab S3 until flash).
2.- I also have used my phone as wifi point but the same happens.
3.- In my opinion it´s a problem/bug with this ROM and Tab S3 (MT-820)
4.- I have done a clean reflash again and after welcome wizard, wihout installing anything, the problem shows.

Well, finally solved. The key was that in the wellcome wizard of android I told it to use the backup of my actual phone. Then android used exactly the same configuration (as the phone) to setup the wifi, including the fixed IP. So my phone and my tablet both had the same IP in the LAN. No one of them showed any error, message or warning. But after investigation I fanally detected that. Thanks in advance to all fo you.

Hi all, I just got a Galaxy Tab S3 but it is slow and stuttering a lot. I would like to install this custom ROM but I have no prior experience of doing so. I was wondering if someone can guide me by giving step by step instructions.
