Hi guys, thanks for making this amazing rom. I'm currently using T825Y for a while. I have already use the 4.0 rom with no problem. Today i tried to go to 5.0 version and everything was okay until the fingerprint. That lead to the bootloader which I can not flashed with the following message:
<ID:0/006> Odin engine v(ID:3.1301)..
<ID:0/006> File analysis..
<ID:0/006> Total Binary size: 59 M
<ID:0/006> SetupConnection..
<ID:0/006> Initialzation..
<ID:0/006> Get PIT for mapping..
<ID:0/006> Firmware update start..
<ID:0/006> NAND Write Start!!
<ID:0/006> SingleDownload.
<ID:0/006> emmc_appsboot.mbn
<ID:0/006> lksecapp.mbn
<ID:0/006> xbl.elf
<ID:0/006> FAIL! (Auth)
<ID:0/006>
<ID:0/006> Complete(Write) operation failed.
<OSM> All threads completed. (succeed 0 / failed 1)
<ID:0/006> Removed!!
<ID:0/003> Added!!
<ID:0/003> Removed!!
<ID:0/003> Added!!

I already tried using the lastest version of Odin which is 1.13.1 and it still cannot flash. I can still boot into the room but can not use fingerprint. Hope you guys can help.
Thank you

@Kirk_O I had no problems downloading debloat list using link from 1st post. Why do you want to downgrade - I'm curious. But if 4.0 is not Pie then most likely you shouldn't.

So far everything is fine, tablet definitely works better but there's one thing...
I had to "delete" leftover Magisk application as it didn't removed itself on Magisk package name rename.

I want to install this ROM on my SM-T825 (LTE). I was previously running the ancient Nougat stock ROM, rooted. I accidentally messed up my device by incorrectly flashing something, so now I want to fix it and also upgrade my ROM in the process, so I decided to flash this ROM.

I already have TWRP on my device ... version 3.1.0-something.

I understand that I probably need to upgrade my bootloader before installing this ROM, and perhaps also upgrade TWRP. In order to perform these tasks, do I install both TWRP and the bootloader via Odin? If so, could somone point me to (1) detailed instructions for performing these two Odin steps? ... and (2) which exact version of TWRP I should install? (I know that this is the bootloader that I should install:
BL_T825XXU3CSH9_CL16530048_QB25611745_REV00_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT.tar.md5)

Then, I assume that I can install this ROM by following the instructions in the OP ... correct?

And I have a question about this step in those OP instructions:
Code:
4. Install ROM
Is this step a TWRP install or another Odin install? If it's an Odin step, then could someone point me again to the detailed Odin-based instructions? If it's a TWRP install, I already know how to do it.

Thank you in advance.

Sorry for the delay on this, hope you're still around
From the T820 thread......

Follow below extracted from ashyx's twrp thread....
Instructions:

Flash with ODIN using the AP slot.

1. Put your device in DOWNLOAD mode.
2. Uncheck Auto reboot.
3. Load the respective file below(twrp) into the AP slot and hit start.
4. After flashing and ODIN reports PASS immediately reboot to recovery by holding POWER + HOME + VOL DOWN.
As soon as the screen goes blank change to VOL UP whilst still holding POWER + HOME.
You should now see TWRP recovery.
Failure to implicitly comply with step 4 will result in stock recovery replacing TWRP at first boot

NOTE: Since android 5.1.1 it is necessary to enable OEM Unlock.
Settings -> Developer Options -> OEM unlocking
ENABLE OEM UNLOCK FIRST OR YOU MAY ENCOUNTER 'BLOCKED BY FRP LOCK' WHEN FLASHING.

Sometimes you have to be quite methodical,(I've been caught myself)

From here I would flash, before reboot,
Magisk
RMM bypass
Encryption /DM verity
Scripts in that order.

You will need to format data, so make sure you have backed up,
If you check the mounting in TWRP, data will probably show unmounted and you won't be able to mount it after flashing the DM verity script reboot to twrp, from the reboot menu, it should then mount.
Reboot.

Will this work with TaiChi instead of Xposed?

I'm using this ROM on my SM-T825, and it's mostly working well ... except for occasional ad hoc reboots.

I'm wondering if this instability might be a side effect of Xposed, and I'd like to know if anyone has tried this ROM with TaiChi instead of Xposed, and if so, whether it works and perhaps would be a bit more stable. I'm using TaiChi with a different ROM on a relatively new OnePlus device, and it works fine.

If no one has tried TaiChi with this ROM and device, I'll test it, myself, later this week when I have some time, and I'll then report back here with my findings.

Thank you in advance.

Well, I loaded TaiChi via Magisk, and it turns out that this prevented this ROM from booting at all on my SM-T825. It made it as far as the boot animation, and then just hung there forever. Multiple reboot attempts yielded the same result.

And even worse, I then couldn't even boot back into recovery via the normal Power/Volume-Down/Home sequence. I had to go into bootloader and then to do the following in order to get into recovery:
Code:
heimdall flash --BOOT recovery.img --RECOVERY recovery.img
TaiChi has two modes: "Yin mode" and "Yang mode". Loading it via Magisk as I tried above is "Yang mode". Loading it from the TaiChi app alone is "Yin mode", and I haven't attempted that yet on my SM-T825 with this ROM. I'll try "Yin mode" later this week and report back here.

New rom out update to the latest firmware

T825_CTD1_TWEAKED_5.1_DB4_by_rorymc928

https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=8889791610682870340

Not tested on the T825 so do all your backups, twrp, titanium, copy internal storage and please report back with your experiences.
The T820 version is good it dirty flashed nicely over the previous rom(5.0) so that would be a good starting point.
Have fun :D

Ps I didn't update the bootloader on the T820 and was fine

As far as my part, none, samsung puts out a large change list, you might have to search around for that., security receives an update always, pretty much and I know it did with this update, but there could be others in the system. As I no longer use this tablet myself I'm not likely to notice what has changed, so good if you or any of the other users could speak up. Often as the updates get to the end of the line from Samsung its usually tidied up the bugs, not that I was aware of any.
After you flash it its helpful if you can post how it went, as the one I have here is the wifi version.
This rom as always has been built from the T825 firmware though so could be slightly different in experience.

Last update works OK

I has been using 5.0 and dirty flashed 5.1 on it last night.
It looks like fine, a little bit faster I think.
I have found nothing wrong so far.

Thank you rorymc928 for wonderful rom and last update!
