After wiping data partition and installing the latest version of lineage, I wanted to enable device encryption. However, I am facing boot loops now.
Is that issue just affecting me? Is encryption already supported by your build?

I've had the same issue as you, and on second install I haven't tried it again yet. I don't think encyption is on by default (I checked it with a Play Store app), and I suspect the problem have something to do with an inserted SD Card configured as Adopted Storage, but as of now I don't want to risk having to do the installation all over again if it happens even without the SD in.

I mean bootloader. If you didn't flash stock oreo rom, so you have nougat bootloader and it could be an issue.

I can confirm it's an bootloader issue. I've tried to flash 15.1 on tablet with stock 7.0.0 and it bootlooped, as in @bambinook's case. So I grabbed British version of Oreo (there's no 8.0.0 for Polish product code yet) and flashed it with Odin - it didn't even boot properly, just got stuck on Samsung logo - but now with Oreo bootloader on board, I've flashed 15.1 again and this time it booted without a problem. Thanks for the suggestion.

If we don't release t820 build, so we have the reasons for that.

Could you please elaborate this either in a short answer here or put it in the starting post? Since i'd like to get into Lineage OS developement for the 820 variante I'd like to know the reasons ^^

And on topic: Since there simply aren't any alternatives for the 820 I'm currently using LineageOS 14.1 20180301 (ABANDONED) on mine. A bug I encountered there is that the s-pen recognition doesn't rotate with the rest of the screen. Did somebody test the s-pen with this LineageOS 15.1 (825)? Is the bug also present in this ROM?

An example on the bug I'm talking about:
I use the Tablet in portrait mode and then switch to landscape. When I write on the middle of the left in landscape mode (90° right) it actualy puts the writing on top of the middle.

(I don't want feedback or talk about an abbandod project, I simply want to make the devs aware if this is also a problem in their present projects)

To be honest I didn't know someone uses that 14.1 build. Further builds will not have that issue with spen in landscape mode. I have now working 15.1 build except gps. I don't know what's wrong with it on wifi model. I didn't hurry to upload because I thought nobody used lineage. I will cleanup build and will upload this week later.

i would also like to switch from my old weird stock rooted os to a newer version of lineage os. i have not encountered any bugs yet, so flashing a new rom is of no use if it does not add anything substantial to the experience (getting a rom to work usually takes some time, with bootloader problems etc). the not-rotating s-pen input was a no-go for me, since this tablet is my daily driver for lectures. if the lineage os 15.1 build really works, except for the gps (why would i even need that on a wifi model?), that would definitely make the switch worth it.

Thank you so much! As I already stated I realy like to get into development / testing of LineageOS for the T820. Since I have not much experience in this area it will take some time but hopefully I'll be able to join in on the development of LineageOS 15.1 for the 15.1 . Sorry if this ended up to hijack this thread. Thank you guys for your work!

Yes, but not in a reliable way, at least for me, meaning that while I write the pen suddenly stops working for a short trait, then it starts working again after a bunch of milliseconds. It does that, it seems, especially (or exclusively, I cannot say for sure) when I rest my palm on the screen while writing.

This only happens if an app is already in memory.
Anyone else experience this, or has a fix?

Found a temp fix. Uncheck keep activities under developer options.
Rotation issue is gone, but some google apps random crash.

Have you a link to the sources of the lineage-15.1 build for the T825 (device, vendor, kernrl)? The first post has broken links to the sourcetrees or very old for lineage-14.1. I would like to build my own rom with some modification and rr sources. Is was very helpful when i can use your sources.

Since I've heard that non-samsung cases with magnets for the auto-sleep function can cause this behaviour for some areas of the screen that was my initial thought. :/

Problem with Spen

I noticed that Spen is not working properly due to something's wrong with the implementation of the palm rejection feature. I wanna go back to stock samsung. How? I tried using ODIN to flash the latest official firmware but it doesn't work. Always an error.. please help. Thanks. I use my tab in writing notes
