Does 0719 rom resolve fast battery drain problem. My tablet battery drain 40%-60% overnight with 0615 ROM.
8% battery drain overnight for me with magisk and pico gapps

Thinking of putting lineage on this thing because it's very laggy on stock. Apps take awhile to open, keyboard takes awhile to pop up, stutters in places, etc.
My question, before I do all of this, is does lineage improve these issues dramatically? Stock has enough cool features that I wouldn't want to give up for marginal improvements.
I've noticed that `system_server` uses a constant 8-9% of CPU regardless of what I'm doing or apps are open. Does everyone else have this? Any ide what the cause is?
I'm not running gapps or any google services, so I'd expect the system to not use so much CPU when no apps are open and it's idle.. (battery life is still decent, however)
OP mentions a battery drain due to the hardware not entering a deep sleep power state. That should have nothing to do with a system process using a lot of CPU.
Sorry, i dont have issues like You. No battery drain while tablet is in use. Only in deepsleep.
You keep misreading what I wrote.. I never claimed an additional battery drain, just a high CPU usage.
@Valera1978 Is there any possibilty of making a new build for us t820 owners? Unfortunately the dev that was making builds for us, is gone due to his broken tab. Im sure alot of us would appreciate it. I would be willing to test any builds. Unfortunately i dont have the skills to build a rom.
I believe the 820 & 825 are the same, with the exception of the LTE radio, so I'm hoping we can port it to our WiFi version without too much hassle. I'll try to get in touch if I have any luck.
I'm not responsible for any damage to your device of any sort.
By flashing this you take responsibility of anything that happens.
Process at your own risk!
If you want to check firmware - please make backup. Better to store all partitions, at least efs and may be modem.
Instructions
1. Install twrp
2. Download the zip(s) - firmware and Google Apps additional package (optional)
3. Backup all partitions (it least efs) and store somewhere - it need to do - because you can loose imei
4. Full wipe all
5. Flash firmware and gapps
Known Issues
sound 2 skeakers only for now
power drain (tablet is not in deepsleep, it's almost all time in the awake on min 300 freq) - look like this is common qcom problem, at least I got the same stuff on my old nore pro 12.2 p905 with qcom 800

Thanks to LineageOS team
Thanks for your great job.
Hey, dude. I've been trying to flash it on my Tab S3 (T825) following the instructions, but it always shows an error followed by a number 7. I'd like to use this custom ROM 'cos the the stock one occupies a lot of space. I tried to root it and uninstall some apps I don´t like but this procedure makes tab restart in bootloop.
Anyway, thanks.
To be honest I didn't know someone uses that 14.1 build. Further builds will not have that issue with spen in landscape mode. I have now working 15.1 build except gps. I don't know what's wrong with it on wifi model. I didn't hurry to upload because I thought nobody used lineage. I will cleanup build and will upload this week later.Could you please elaborate this either in a short answer here or put it in the starting post? Since i'd like to get into Lineage OS developement for the 820 variante I'd like to know the reasons ^^
And on topic: Since I there simply aren't any alternatives for the 820 I'm currently using LineageOS 14.1 20180301 (ABANDONED) on mine. A bug I encountered there is that the s-pen recognition doesn't rotate with the rest of the screen. Did somebody test the s-pen with this LineageOS 15.1 (825)? Is the bug also present in this ROM?
An example on the bug I'm talking about:
I use the Tablet in portrait mode and then switch to landscape. When I write on the middle of the left in landscape mode (90° right) it actualy puts the writing on top of the middle.
(I don't want feedback or talk about an abbandod project, I simply want to make the devs aware if this is also a problem in their present projects)
Could you please elaborate this either in a short answer here or put it in the starting post? Since i'd like to get into Lineage OS developement for the 820 variante I'd like to know the reasons ^^If we don't release t820 build, so we have the reasons for that.
