Is an upgrade from experimental possible?

Your question is regarded to an upgrade from the experimental build from the Lineage server to the (unofficial developement) build Adrian provided yesterday, I guess.

Please read the op of the Q&A-Thread:
Can I flash LineageOS on official and development builds, or even on CM without wipes ?

Migrations from unofficial to official, and from CM builds, are not possible.

Always remember to do backups before doing such changes.

That should also apply to a switch from official to a development build ;)
So the answer should be "NO"!

First of all, thank you so much for supporting our devices for all these years! Trust me, there's still a lot of us using this phone :3
Now, back to why I'm writing. I've been using this rom for quite a while now and the only major issue I have is that the earpiece does not work for me (Last updated in 12/7). I can't hear anything in calls unless I turn on loudspeaker. I tried to validate if my earpiece is faulty with Sony Diagnostics app and I couldn't hear anything with it either. It works in other ROMs (ROMS before nougat, I had this problem in nougat too, but occasionally. In oreo, it's completely busted for me) I switched to kitkat cm11 to check it, and it works flawlessly in kitkat as of 16th August. I'd appreciate it a lot if anyone could help me out regarding this issue. 8.1/Lineage15.1 feels smoother, faster than kitkat and I'd love to completely migrate to this rom.

I've been using the experimental build since it was released. Had some UI freezes at the beginning, but those went away after some days.

So far so good. Some features on lineage side are still missing (or I haven't found them yet) and the vanishing of the connection type display is confusing (H/H+ just disappears in the status bar), battery life is nice.

Really great stuff!

Edit: on lineage 14.1 on could use the lowram enabler. I flashed it also on 15.1, but I can not see any change? Is there any other way to do that?

As (at least) the latest 15.1 builds are already on "lowram" by default, flashing the lowram_enabler.zip will have no effect. Therefore - if you want to compare - simply flash the lowram_disabler.zip. And if you're not satisfied and want to switch back again, then you just have to flash the enabler.zip :p

@ahmadimehr why you decided to use SuperSu instead of LinageOS su addon? Is that your own preference or su addon doesn't work? I know Magisk currently sucks with LOS16. I decided to drop SuperSu, as it is not maintained afaik.

For information: I have been extremely busy with work over the last months,
and spend when I can the little free time I have on my Sony 8960 devices and LineageOS.

New 15.1 release: I just triggered a new 15.1 release for the Sony Xperia SP / T / TX / V to refresh the last one from August.

There's about one thing that makes me against moving to 15.1 officially, including for other Sony 8960 devices of the family,
and it needs time to be done properly and ready for official releases.

About Android Pie: The AOSP 9.0 and LineageOS 16.0 releases I made since the Android Pie release (for internal testing only initially..)
are almost finished as I (and some people I know) use it as daily since the start as well.

I'll see if I have time to take care of a few things within the next weekend for the 16.0 sources.
