I tried this ROM and so far OK. But I don't know why SELinux is disabled. Does it matter?
Also, Instagram is not compatible with this ROM.

Xperia V Lt25i, still no wired headset with voip-app

Salut AdrianDC,

i tried LOS 15.1 on a new device and the wired headset mic still doesn`t work with voip (Signal messenger app).
Audiorec-App or normal calls with headset are working.
It didn't work on LOS 14.1 either (it was only working on the earliest Versions)
I tried your AOSP 14.1 Nougat 7.1.2 with Singnal Messenger and everthing worked fine.

If you need any dmesg or logs let me know.

Thank you for your work and for keeping this device alive.

For information: I have been extremely busy with work over the last months,
and spend when I can the little free time I have on my Sony 8960 devices and LineageOS.

New 15.1 release: I just triggered a new 15.1 release for the Sony Xperia SP / T / TX / V to refresh the last one from August.

There's about one thing that makes me against moving to 15.1 officially, including for other Sony 8960 devices of the family,
and it needs time to be done properly and ready for official releases.

About Android Pie: The AOSP 9.0 and LineageOS 16.0 releases I made since the Android Pie release (for internal testing only initially..)
are almost finished as I (and some people I know) use it as daily since the start as well.

I'll see if I have time to take care of a few things within the next weekend for the 16.0 sources.

Solved: Xperia V Lt25i, still no wired headset with voip-app

LT25i, under LOS 14.1, i replaced
Code:
/system/lib/hw/audio.primary.msm8960.so
,size 112,3kb
with audio.primary.msm8960.so from AOSP 7.1.2, size 113,4kb and voip with headset is working fine.

I think audio.primary.msm8960.so from LOS is broken.

Guys I have a very weird problem, after some uptime my phone fails to receive Text Messages.
I am running no mod, and flashed Google Play Services only. I already disabled doze for anything related to text messages and I still have issues

Hello
Good time
For a long time, the lineage-14.1 update has also been updated with the lineage-16 unofficial update?
Is this a sign of great change?
Thanks Adrian

Answer

LineageOS 16.0
You may have noticed development has slowed down on 14.1 and 15.1. We have been working hard to prepare the next iteration of LineageOS, based on Android 9 Pie.

We have almost reached feature parity with 15.1, so now it’s time for several devices to get ready for official builds. Most of the remaining work is related to make old hardware work with the newer Android version.

We do not have an estimated release date, but we can tell you we are getting closer.

Good evening
Sony xperia v, lineage os 15.1. release date 28/10/2018.
I can't find any migration tool and no official 15.1. Do we have to pass to Lineage 14.1. official?

Thank you

Hi @AdrianDC, once again thank you so much for your work on our old devices! LineageOS 15.1 is running like a charm (absolutely no bug to report after a week of daily usage, it's just a bit slower than 14.1 but i guess nothing can be done) on my 6 year-old tsubasa, making you a small hero in the fight against climate change (if 6 years was the average lifespan for smartphones, some things would be different). Thank you sir!

Fixed: no headset mic in voip-calls (now for good, i hope :) )

Update:

VOIP headset microphone ACDB definitions have been patched now by adriandc:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=80091861&postcount=132

The default acdb id for

Code:
[SND_DEVICE_IN_HEADSET_MIC_FLUENCE] = 47,
line 320 (former ...MIC_AEC), in platform.c (and appropriate caf-8960 trees) and used in line 1731,1746 and 1761 from AUDIO_MODE_IN_COMMUNICATION, doesn`t work for tsubasa and mint devices.
Headset-mic won`t work in voip-apps which are relying on AEC.

To fix this issue, please add the following line to audio_platform_info.xml :

Code:
<acdb_ids>
[...]
	<!-- Input devices -->
[...]
<device name="SND_DEVICE_IN_HEADSET_MIC_FLUENCE" acdb_id="130"/>

</acdb_ids>
to redefine the right ID for the acdb.
To fix this issue on a phone, just edit and add this line to file /etc/audio_platform_info.xml .

Tested with Signal Messenger and Nextcloud Talk on tsubasa and mint.
I can`t tell, if the acdb-id works on hayabusa, too. It would be nice, if someone can confirm this.

@adriandc, i just want to chime in to Davids post above:
Thank you once again! When i think about how many hours i spend to find a fix for an annoying but trivial bug, i can`t hardly imagine nor understand what an outstanding job you are doing! On so many ways! It's not only porting and updating our handsets and making them secure or better again,while manufacturers abandoned them, because they already made their profit the moment the costumer bought it.
Closed source, because sharing would be caring and not to mention the enviromental and social (sweat-shops) damage which is done by "instant" consumer-electronics.

I never bought a phone before, because of closed source and the whole ecosystem of android and manufacturers, but a friend of mine wanted to thow away a pretty f***** up tsubasa, so i took it to play with and to see what can be done and found your amazing port. Now i have a mint and tsubasa bought for less than 10, this is all your fault ;).

Thank you again for doing all this. Open source. And not to forget all the hours of your private spare time you spend for us.
