Its not just wipe data or internal storage, they are different. You need to format data option to remove that decryption problem. Dont worry soon after flash descendants and booting ur device will be back decrypted.

This like descendants are having different encryption protocols than miui, aex, pe which can be flashed without need of format data.

Ofc you will lose ur data in internal storage when you do format data. Backup first.

Im sure that there's "Format Data" option inside Wipe menu. Click that and then type "yes" to confirm. When its done, reboot twrp > flash the rom.
