I tried to flash the modem tar file with Odin but it failed. Is there a fix for this?

RU is already supported in the AllLanguage versions of the ROM. Which ROM file did you install? If you installed a US and UK only version, then that is the problem.

I just tried to install that OD2 modem. Doesn't want to stick for some reason. Any suggestions? I'll keep trying though. I pit it in the phone section of Odin. It even passed.

Uncheck auto reboot and F. reset time. Flash in PDA slot. When you see PASS, hold power button until it shutsdown. Unplug and reboot.

That's because you need to fix this line:
<SupportList> en_US;ru_RU;</SupportList>

You also need to reboot afterwards

I'll make a flashable of my SamsungSans mod tomorrow or Monday, it has over 200 fonts built in. Or if you have my ROM downloaded just take system/app/SamsungSans.apk and swap it with yours, set permissions to 0644, and reboot. @jtash01, feel free to use whatever mods of mine, simply give credit.
