Make sure the modem actually took, check your Baseband in Settings/About Device. If it's not OK3, do it again but uncheck Auto Reboot in Odin.I used the l720t modem but my wifi doesn't work.
It does say OK3, but I'm still not able to use wifi.Make sure the modem actually took, check your Baseband in Settings/About Device. If it's not OK3, do it again but uncheck Auto Reboot in Odin.

Are you using the correct one for your model (L720 or L720T)? Make sure that the software version matches the Baseband as well.It does say OK3, but I'm still not able to use wifi.
They do match, but it still doesn't work. I tried flashing some old deodexed roms from here https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=20593 and I flashed the modems as well, and the wifi doesn't work on those either. Both Software and Baseband match. Are you using the correct one for your model (L720 or L720T)? Make sure that the software version matches the Baseband as well.

None of those are going to help you, the only other thing I can suggest is to try flashing my ROM, Wicked X.They do match, but it still doesn't work. Nope, you can root any version the same way. Odin TWRP and flash SuperSU zip from Chainfire's website (my preferred method) or Odin CF Auto Root and download SuperSU from the Play Store (remember to turn auto reboot off in Odin for both of these methods).Good morning peeps....
I am not new to custom roms, flashing etc, i know my way around...i have worked on root since HTC EVO days, then all nexuses (nexii?) and a few S3, S5s among many other phones....
So my co worker has a Sprint SPH-L720 that is stock and he has it updated all the way to OK3...
Is this like the S5, where after a certain updates, the root methods dont work? I know with S5, u had to ODIN back to very first builds, then root, then flash latest rooted/deodexed rom and avoid updating the bootloader.... You couldnt root the latest firmware by itself. So i am trying to see if this is the same.
I read the post from Silverzero the latest CF auto root worked on OK3.... Is that assuming the phone was an unmolested OK3 updated phone with stock bootloader?
And, reading this thread... If CF Auto works, i can skip the modem and kernel since this device already has it right?
Oh and lastly.... does the attached ROM on the OP wipes data?
Thanks for clarification, hopefully answer to my post will bring the threads info up to date to 4/16
Thank you very much for helping me with the info and quick summary.Nope, you can root any version the same way. Yes you can skip the modem and kernel.
No. You would have to do that manually in recovery. You should at least wipe system, cache, and dalvik cache.

just two more questions...
1- Is unlocking the bootloader is a requirement?
i got confused, because from what i was reading on Chainfire's website it was saying that using CFAR on locked bootloaders would cause a brick.
2- whats the version nowadays of SuperSU that works with this OK3 version?
(I use systemless SuperSU2.71 on my Nexus 6p and dont know if it systemless is supported on this device)
This is my first ROM for public use.
I used SuperR kitchen to deodexed and deknoxed.
* USB DEBUGGING Enabled by default.
* R/W fixed in permission for ExtSdCard
That's it no other tweaks...
Thanks to
@SuperR. for his kitchen-here
@bilgerryan for keeping the S4 alive!
To install the ROM
1. copy the zip to the extSdCard
2. TWRP recovery
3. Go into recovery mode.
4. Wipe Dalvik, Cache, system, data.
5. Perform factory reset before installing zip
6. Install zip.
7. Reboot.
This has been tested on SPH-L720

i9500 and L720 are two different models. You're wifi probably isn't working because you're not on the right modem. You need to be on the OK3 modem.I install this ROM. http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...214819&sig=APY536x8KCRvyB33ZAPqgwoQoa5e1wmC7Q.
