Sooo I did a factory reset, rebooted into recovery, installed RR and now I'm stuck on a screen that says "Samsung GALAXY Note 10.1."

After rebooting it shows that text, then shows the RR animation, then goes back to that text without changing. What should I do to get back to operational?

Note: I have a 8013 and got it the day after it was released in the US. I rooted and haven't been able to do the OTA update.

UPDATE: It's working now, I guess. I did another factory reset, installed again and it worked.

I believe it requires touchwiz framework... meaning it won't work on AOSP roms.

Not sure if this has been covered before, but is it possible to grab the AllShare.apk and controller from a TW ROM and install it into this one? Would love to be on board with JB, but I do use allshare for mirroring quite often, thanks

From my understanding, no, you will not. However, you will lose touchwiz apps. All of them. Alternative to S-Note is LectureNotes.

Glad to hear this rom works with 8013. About to load it up. Do we still need to do the settings fix?

Thanks westcrip

Hey,

Just want to say how awesome it is to have jellybean on my N8013. Rom works great when I removed those 4 lines of code from the updater. Look forward to what else you will do with this ROM

here is the META-INF without asserts ..so you can replace META-INF folder with in the RR MAİN ROM ZİP .than you can flash to 8010 8013 etc

    extract META-INF.rar
replace META-INF folder ( not rar one )with in RR zip META-INF
    flash zip

than let me know if it works

    https://dl.dropbox.com/u/62249445/META-INF.rar
    3
How do you remove the asserts? I have an N8013 and want to test this out.

    Negative on my N8013 "/

To remove the Asserts, you have to have Notepad++ and Winrar. Google search for Notepad++ and install it, it's free

After downloading the ROM, open it by Winrar - DO NOT extract the ROM.

Go to: META-INF -- com -- google -- android -- double click on updater-script to open it within Winrar

You should see the "Open with" window open, find and choose to open the file by Notepad++

Delete the first 4 lines, from "assert(getprop ..." to "..."GT-N8000");"

    Save and close Notepad++

Then you should see a window asking if you wish to update the file in the archive, hit YES.

    Now it's good to flash.

    -----------------------------------------------------------
This ROM rocks, lots of customization, just as AOKP on other devices.

However, it still lags sometimes, and the Setting force close whenever I touch "Brightness" within the Setting Menu. Brightness control within the Notification Bar is still working, so no big deal.

is this work snote app and multi screen??

Sent from my SHW-M480W using xda premium

You DO NOT have Snote and Multi-screen because the Multi-screen function only work with Samsung's own apps that comes with stock ROM.

If you want Snote and Multi-screen, but don't want Stock, try the Redemption ROM, it's nice too.
