LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 6, which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

I use this ROM.
lightweight and easy to use.

before I installed LineageOs 16 update previous ..

after updating to LineageOs 16 2019-08-08 without formatting, Battery calibration is messed up.
100%, 60%, 80 and so on ...

when the battery is low sometimes it goes up to 50% again ..

but for all my recommendations to use this ROM. this rom is the best from what I've used.

for battery problems: calibration only ..:good::good::good::good::good:

Hello,

First of all, thanks for all these roms and tools for our Android devices.

I'm trying to flash this ROM on my lenovo k30-w.
I have the last twrp 3.2.2 20180708.
My lemon is on cyanogenmod 12.1 currently.
Here is my problem:
When I try to flash lineageos (or even aospEX) I have error message e1001 error 7.
I read that it should work on this device.
In any case I can not understand what is happening, I do well system formatting, cache ..., as explain, I try to flash a new kernel, then the boot.img ROM.
I deleted the assert and getprop lines.
Nothing worked for me.

No problem to reflash and return to cm12.1 with twrp .3.2.2

Edit : I read in the log that the problem is "BLKDISCARD ioctl failed: Invalid argument"

here is the twrp log

I've been using this ROM for around a week and I gotta say, it's a nice ROM. Been using my A6000 with it as an other phone alongside my main daily driver, which is my A8 2018. :good:

Very good ROM. The ROM is smoother than my ass cheeks.
Everything works exceptional except 2 things. First the live display(Night light) is broken, it isn't working and the second thing is with the internal storage. The first few days after installing the ROM i had no problem and the System files took about 4gb. But after a few days of usage it grew to 8gb usage. And i got the storage insufficient notification, but after a quick reboot the system storage went back to 4gb. Then again after a couple of days the same issue. So need to reboot frequently, not a big issue though. Would highly recommend this ROM to everybody.

Hello,

First of all, thanks for all these roms and tools for our Android devices.

I'm trying to flash this ROM on my lenovo k30-w ...

Hello !

I found the solution for my K30-W.
Finally I can take advantage of lineageos 16.
Thank you very much for this well-functioning rom! :)

For error 7 in TWRP, the problem was the partition table. The system partition was too small "1536 MiB"
system = P23

VZq71.png

I have to search a lot to find, a lot of flash failure.
Only cm12.1 of ED-300 and AOKP 7.1.1 worked

ED-300 cm13 = failure <<<< error to write ... no space left on device
crdroid = failure <<<< error to write ... no space left on device
RR = failure <<<< BLKDISCARD ioctl failed: Invalid argument
AOEX = failure <<<< BLKDISCARD ioctl failed: Invalid argument
...

The solution I found is to enlarge the system partition with parted.

at first it was impressive, I had never done it, but it was easy in fact.
Fortunately in the recovery 2.8 of ED-300 cm12.1 parted is integrated

I followed this tutorial by adapting of course to my situation: https://forum.xda-developers.com/cr...uide-repartition-internal-storage-to-t3292159

for the system partition I chose 3072 MiB
the rest remained as is and the userdata reduced by 1536 MiB.

Then that's it. installation of roms now works.:good::)
You never know if someday it can help someone.

I installed the ROM. For me battery is draining on standby a lot. Any suggestion to fix this ?
Or may be any other stable ROM suggestions with good battery backup (even if it is not pie based) ?

Thanks in advance !

Someone mentioned that its just a calibration issue of battery percentage, not actual battery drain..that might be the problem..
But if you want to go back for better battery life, if you are ok with Nougat Rom Ressurection remix gave me the best battery life with almost zero drain at nights..
If you are interested you can flash and check once..
Go back to Nougat only if battery is your highest priority..
Check the rom here..

Flashing as usual:
1. Hex firmaware
2. Rom
3. Gapps- Nano/pico for 2gb ram, pico for 1gb ram variants

All the best buddy..?

    Frequently asked questions.

Q : I get error 255/7 while flashing from recovery
A : Flash using correct TWRP.

    Q : How do i flash rom?
A : No rocket science Just wipe /system /cache /dalvik's cache & internal storage from twrp, Then simply flash the rom package and reboot.

Q : Can I dirty flash the next build?
A : If you are upgrading from previous builds of this rom to the current builds then O'course you can dirty flash by just flashing the new rom package , gapps package and wiping both the cache partition however i advice you to refrain from doing dirty flash. Follow the instructions if posted after a build drop and flash the package accordingly if instructions explicitly mention about clean flashing.

    Q : Where do i get compatible gapps/ I can't signIn into google play?
A : Get your Gapps from OpenGapps.org, only use Pico or nano! If you want my support.

Q : Is root access included in this Rom?
A : No it is not. Some testers have had success with Magisk though.

Q : Can I flash ABC mod? Does the ROM support it?
A : Yeah sure, but I will not support you. And no, the ROM probably does not support it.

    Q : Android go, when?
A : Decided to disable it for now for good

    Q : Is VOLTE supported ?
    A : No.

Q : Is the ROM suited for daily usage ?
A : Yes, Looks like all basic daily usage stuff is functional.

    Q : WHEN UPDATE?? GIB UPDATE PL0X.
A : I only post updates when there's a decent list of changes. I'm a college student and there's only so much I can do. Please do not spam my PM regarding this.
I will not respond to any messages demanding ETAs

    Time for update.
    • August kernel & Android Security Bulletin Patches merged
    • Past kernel changes & optimizations of last 2 month
    • Completely Shifted to arm optimized routines
    • Update android math libraries from freebsd OSS
    • Fixed Dalvik's value not being applied sometimes.
    • Initial sepolicies

Note:- Dirty Flash from previous lineage build is fine but after boot give device time to settle down, might take 2-3 cycles for phone, Clean flash is recommended if you are migrating from other rom that includes wiping even the internal storage.

If you are on the last stable build you should be getting ota for the current build and you can update directly from there.

    Download:- lineage-16.0-20190808-UNOFFICIAL-a6000.zip

Time for update(More perf bump!!! Enjoy!)

    Read the changelog:- here!

    Downloads?
    Method 1:-
-> People on the previous build should be getting a OTA notification or can manually check for update via the updater app and can update from there.

    Method 2:
Those who want to update manually can download the build from my basketbuild folder (Linked in the first post of this thread) flash it from recovery and reboot.

    Clean flash?
If you are upgrading from previous build to the current build then there is no need of doing clean flash, Just simply flash the new package and reboot. If you are coming from some other rom you have to do a clean flash that includes wiping your internal storage else your bug reports would be ignored.
