Hi guys,

Flashed this morning latest update, 2 issues so far (wi-fi not working, has already been addressed, workaround provided to flash latest void kernel), second is signal power icon, seems to be at half all the time, even if I switch to 2g??
Anyone facing this issue?
Can anyone confirm if we can solve this issues by either flashing boot.img from AICP or flash latest void kernel?

Thanks in advance
The signal bars is always half
Known thing
Dosent affect the functioning however...

I suggest flashing latest void and not aicp boot.img

Yap, that is what i did, flashed latest void kernel. It's just bothering me, not showing whole signal strengh like other roms, though not seen any network failures. I think it can be considered a "cosmetic issue"

"Reboot to recovery" option doesn't work very well, phone is shutting down..

---------- Post added at 02:20 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:17 PM ----------

Can't flash gapps, i am getting "lost connection" and "void crash". Going to flash latest void kernel...

---------- Post added at 02:40 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:20 PM ----------

Wifi still not working...it looks like searching for networks but it's stucked on there and is draining fast my battery.

Problem solved by flashing this "void-kernel-1.8.6-new-g888b50bee64b-n7100". Now, i am getting random strange reboots and 5Ghz wifi doesn't work "Connected, no internet" like in previous build. Wating for a fix...

Oh... And u didn't flash gapps?
I didn't flash gapps, however, I also didn't wipe system partition before, just data and dalvik.
The update process seems to backup gapps from the old system before replacing it, then restores gapps.
That's why they are still there after flashing I think.

Lineage OS was forked form CM and since CM has stopped, Lineage OS is basically CM. Not pure AOSP which the OP on this thread claims. This is basically no different to any other CM based ROM. Unstable and buggy as hell. When will we get an actual pure AOSP ROM (Nexus style)?

Who tell you this is LOS/CM based ROM? This is TRULY AOSP based ROM, just like Nexus' ROM which also is based on. If you still not satisfied, then go and get a Nexus/Pixel instead.

Original poster advises pure AOSP on post 2 then progresses to advise conflicting info in post 47 ("Yes its a known issue in every cm/lineage rom") and the fact that this ROM inherits all the Lineage bugs because of this.. This is nothing to do with me being satisfied with the ROM, it's do do with false info being spread like wildfire, leading people to download crap they don't really want and don't discover until its too late and they flashed another Lineage based ROM with all its usual expected bugs (video playback etc) there's no point in downloading ROMs these days because they are all based off CM/lineage which haven't been stable for daily driver use since kitkat.

One more time, where exactly is the post said that this is LOS/CM based rom?
The bug you mentioned (video playback or almost of bugs) is not related by the rom itself, it related to the aosp sources, or rather, because of our too-outdated driver.
No ROM could be counted as a stable rom, since the ONLY stable rom is from manufacturer.
And like I said earlier, if you can't stand these bugs, better go and buy a new phone for yourself

So ASOP straight from Google is not stable? how would android be where it is today if it wasn't stable. the only unstable ROMs are those based of AOSP that have been heavily modified like CM/Lineage/AOKP etc etc. if a pure AOSP source was taken the only bugs would be hardware specific and so would not be the same across all devices.

It's a base for all rom, even those ROMs on Nexus/Pixel are also have been modified to be compatible with the phone. Like you see, most of phones from various manufacturer have their own UI and features, but they're still called Android. Android itself couldn't be used on any devices if it hasn't been modified even just a commit.

@RudeboyXL Firstly, Cosmic-OS isn't based on CM/Lineage.. And if you are talking about bugs, the bugs which you are facing are only occurring with Note-2.. The ROM is up for more than 20 devices and its working perfectly.. I got many requests from Note-2 Users to make Cosmic-OS for them, so I made it.. And yeah, the bugs which are present in Lineage OS would be there in this ROM too not because it is based on Lineage but because the device sources are of Lineage!

Secondly, Even if you will get a pure Nexus AOSP ROM, that won't be stable for Note-2.. A ROM is never stable or unstable..Its the device sources which decides that! I hope you get it..

any bugs found? like gps not working, wifi not working n so on?
Umm...honestly the latest build is a mess (personally speaking) .. if u try the previous one ,that's a good one ...but it has got this major problem of random reboots and some minor bugs like torch bugs but overall if we cut out the random reboot issue, this rom is great and trust me..it got the best battery life throughout the nougat category for note 2...
