I have no problems or any bugs, works well on my device and haven't noticed big difference, moved to it because updates are more frequent. battery life is pretty good, not better not worse

Perfect thanks. Maybe I'll install it too! I was just worried about bugs and battery life.

Thanks again!

Hi, I tried to move my XIAOMI MI 9 LITE from MIUI Global to this MIUI EU but the phone restrts only to recovery or fastboot, I followed these steps:

- installed twrp version 3.3.1-3 from https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-cc9/development/recovery-unofficial-twrp-xiaomi-mi-9-t4029705;
- downloaded MIUI EU version 11.3.2.0 from this thread;
- installed from twrp;
- restarted the phone;
- the phone restarts to recovery;

Now I'm with MIUI Global, I flashed the fastboot rom.

Please could you help me?
Thank you

You can't do a dirty install. Follow this steps:
1) Boot into TWRP
2) Wipe -> Factory Reset
3) Wipe -> Advanced Wipe -> Dalvik/System/Data/Internal Storage/Cache
4) Reboot to recovery, connect to your PC and tranfer the rom that you want to install flash in twrp folder or in root;
5) Install ROM

If you don't have a pc you don't have to wipe internal storage, where you should have downloaded the ROM.

Thanks, I tried to follow theese steps but the result is the same, boot in recovery.
I tried to install starting from clean MIUI GLOBAL and using TWRP official/unofficial (https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-cc9/development/recovery-unofficial-twrp-xiaomi-mi-9-t4029705) and with/without vbmeta patch.
Please note that if I wipe System partition then I can start only in fatboot mode.
I also tried to check the twrp log, but I'm not able to understand the log messages.
Please could you help me?
Thank you

Did apps like netflix / prime video and banking apps work safely?
Because I read that it is the root that makes them stop going and not the unlocked bootloader.

Thanks in advance!

Ps. would the L1 certification fall with xiaomi.eu?
Pss. while for the warranty does not invalidate by unlocking the right bootloader?

Did u format data partition? When coming from Global/official, you must format this partition. I assume this is due to encryption.

I have unlocked bootloader and no root installed. Banking apps and netflix works.

Perfect! thanks
It is now like a stock rom but improved!
I really think to try it, at most I can always go back to stock rom and relock the bootloader.
Could you show me the installation procedure for me?
Now I have the EEA rom
(11.0.2 QFCEUXM Android 10)
Thanks again

Ok, so I follow the procedure as on xiaomi.eu, for the wipe, I don't have to format system, right?

PS. With unlocked bootloader they say find my device does not work, is it true?

Formatting system is not required. You will lose any data in your internal storage however.
Also, best to manually format /data by going to advanced wipe -> manage data partition (select) -> then choose ext4 for filesystem and swipe to confirm (twrp used f2fs by default for some odd reason).

I don't use find my device, however you could probably find details if you search it up :)

Could you do a quick check if there is the xiaomi "find my device" function?
I'd thank you very much!

Just tried it out and it seems to work fine.
Perfect!
I'm very interested in the xiaomi "find my device" function.
Why the google function is not precise!

Thanks so much! It was the only thing stopping me, now I really think I will install it.

If I ever want to go back to stock rom, can I also relock the right bootloader? (returning to the same stock rom as now, that is rom I bought it with)
