Is this ROM suitable enough to use it as a daily driver? Has it the SElinux in enforcing mode? That's important for me!

Actually I've been using it as my daily driver although the phone doesn't go into deep sleep but battery life is still manageable for my usage. However it's not in enforcing mode though.

The really important question is, does it support encryption now?
Experimental Los 17 by our maintainer supports encrypted storage from day 1 even on pre alpha. I would really suggest to get in touch with him and I'm sure he'll help you fix encryption issues.

Not yet. We r currently working on making solid stable base with ultra smoothness equal to pie and adding some useful features. Encryption will be fixed in future builds, just time factor

When switching from another ROM, even a similar one, always CLEAN FLASH (wipe data, cache, dalvik, system). Even when updating the same rom, if it's not an OTA build you are probably safer clean flashing. Titanium Backup is your friend, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

I appreciate the devs' honestly and openness in regards to their plans for this ROM. You should only say that your ROM is stable when it is actually stable, and stability should be your first priority ? . I will follow this ROM closely; it is currently my no. 1 candidate for Q ROMs to try when the time comes for me ? .

No custom is bugless or stable, Q is still in development, saying its stable will not b appropriate and devs doesnt need buttering they smart enough, but yes devs work is commendable especially rakesh, anushek, superdroid & mady for cracking complicated google codes & making perfect roms for users

To be fair, almost no software nowadays can be completely bugless and 100% stable, but any custom rom can get to the point where it can call itself "stable," aka all high priority bugs are squashed and all functions work as intended. And it's always commendable when devs communicate, as well as acknowledge long term bugs. Way too many devs overadvertise their work and leave their customers in the dark in regards to the future of their project.

Most - if not all - custom roms are open source build community projects. Users are always invited to take part (a project carried on by a team of devs and active, helpfull users is less prune to dying). Talking of "customers" instead of "users" shows an attitude that umderestimates the volunteer nature of the development: a customer has payed for a device, software and future software development, warranty, service and so on. There's a commercial contract between customers and a company. Customers can demand i.e. support, updates and warranty based on this contract.

Demanding a volunteer dev with the attitude of a customer (instead of the attitude of a active and helpful user) can demotivate a volunteer dev to a point the future of the project is effected.

Bottom line: customers should stick to stock roms they have paid for when buying the device.

I meant to say user, not customer. That was a poor choice of words. I honestly didn't mean that at all.

Please don't imply that I don't understand the nature of these projects. I am very well of the enormous time, effort, and passion that go into them. A lot of it goes by completely thankless, and we should be grateful we have access to their hard work.

I was more trying to point out that a lack of communication can lead to some users to flashing more more experimental software than they should. If you plan to support and test early development, that's great. But if you want a daily driver, you should stick to stock ROMs or a more stable custom ROM. Clearly describing the status of your projects and keeping public track or longstanding bugs or upcoming fixes is always commendable, and can help users more clearly understand where your project stands. These devs have done these things, and that's always commendable. It further cements confidence in the future of the project.

Hi. I asked this before but no one answered. After flashing Colt OS phone doesn't boot, is stuck on boot animation for almost an hour (didn't wait longer). I thought that newest version will be fine but it's not. Lineage 17 boots fine and I do the same things with both - wipe everything except internal storage, flash rom, flash gapps nano from 10.06, flash magisk 20, wipe dalvik/art cache, reboot. I'm on firmware. Thanks for any help ;)
