cannot install V4A driver on the latest untouched DE
i can't install correctly V4A driver in my xt1052 running the latest untouched DE.
viper give me the following screen in the driver status:
Driver version: 2.4.0.1
NEON enabled: no
STATUS: abnormal
Audio format: unsupported
processing: no
sampling rate: 0
(i have xposed framework v87 with : "Audio stream music default"; "Gravitybox (LP)" and Xstana; i use universal init.d; and i have superSU)

Thanks so much for this Vitataf, it is very very handy.
I installed the XT1058 debloated BR retail rom on my XT1053 and works good, very limited but good, i didn't root so i can download and use Netflix and other restricted apps without problem or workarounds.
As i gave away this phone to a non techie person i wanted to keep it pure stock and basic but i need a bit more of functionality so im thinking on installing the modded version BUT first i need to know if i will still be able to find and download restricted apps like Netflix, meaning the device remains as Certified on the Play Store if I don't root the stock modded version.
Anyone?

You can either download the apks and install them (I do this for Netflix, works OK) or use magisk to root and magisk hide to pass safetynet
I know that but i don't want to do that, as i said i gave this phone to a non tech person, i need something that just work OTB hassle free. I wish i could modify notification tiles, have a more complete power menu, be able to hide notif bar on lockscreen, unlock phone right after security code is typed, chop to torch, etc. Stuff like that without rooting.
I'll just go ahead and dirty flash the modded version and report back as i see none can answer my specific question. If no success I'll flash back to stock debloated xt1058, period.

Unfortunately, I believe that SELinux is set to permissive on the modded versions (which fails SafetyNet). However, you may be able to flash the stock boot.img in fastboot mode to reenable it. Let me know how it goes.
I have developers edition, can I just flash this like I would LOS?

Read first post, First fash stock room then wipe because if you wipe first like usually it's bugged.
In my version wifi was not working with wiping first
I flashed the Indian one and it is booting into twrp not android. Should I flash debloauted one?

94Stock ROMs Extracted From Motorola Fastboot Firmware
Instructions1. Make a Nandroid backup using TWRP or similar custom recovery.
2. Download any version of ROM from below and copy it to either the internal storage or an OTG usb drive.
3. Boot into the custom recovery and flash the ROM.
4. Flash any additional add-ons from below for root, BusyBox, and/or Xposed (optional).
5. Factory reset (optional if coming from stock ROM, but still recommended).
6. Flash the modem firmware in fastboot mode if there are bugs such as the speakerphone not working.

Last Updated 2016-05-2410I took a moment this morning to add a version of update-bin to the original zip file by @mastarifla and will attach it to this post. It worked fine for me. Wave to wake is back (xt1060). I couldn't find any errors with the updater-script. I also made a "revert-{version of the wave to wake}" zip file and will include that as well in case something unexpected happens.
The update-bin file I added was one I'd used in numerous scripts here on XDA that I knew worked fine with the moto x.
When you reboot the first time after running in recovery, please recall to look at the notification that asks if it's OK to revert the firmware and say yes. It'll reboot, and after that 2nd reboot, it should work with wave to wake as in 4.4.4.

Sorry I have been busy too for the past few weeks
, but I have been looking into some of the MotoDisplay_3.0 changes and the MSP430 dilemma with ChopChop and looking at the virtual Lift sensor in the Clark phones
Turns out that the newer Motorola Phones use a different type of chip to handle the gestures and have their own SensorHub APK with a different way of flashing the firmware, the MSP430 is the only one that loads it's flash memory in TI-Text files, I have simulated it loading, and have tried a couple configurations while learning more about the MSP430 architecture... the code that we are interested in will be within the @14000 address space, as I have tried removing and replacing address spaces to see if it would work (turns out that I killed both the bug and the chop chop gesture when manipulating the @14000 address space!)
I have also been looking into taking some of the features from the newer APK versions of Moto Actions and Moto Display, however, we don't have a library built for our phone for the Moto_Display_3.0 APK, so the next best thing is to take the smali code from the apk and try and merge it with an older version in order to add the features, however, it probably won't be pretty, I thought the arm libraries for the Moto X 2014 could help directly copy the Moto_Display_3.0 APK (since it is also a ARMv7 platform) but it seems like the architecture isn't the only thing that needs to be the same for the libraries...
I also grabbed the latest Lollipop built versions of the APK's for Moto, Moto Display, Moto Actions, and they work to some extent, but they end up crashing in places that would make it annoying for users and don't really add much to the usability, and I unfortunately cannot use the Marshmallow built APK's :/
Getting the Lift gesture working would require a kernel change and a MSP430 custom firmware, and then understanding how the kernel and MSP430 interact with one another, but it could be a fun project to look into
I grabbed a Moto Hint 2015 recently and am going to have a bit of fun trying to understand how the always listening works with it (I think it just always has the microphone on honestly, as I can hear some static noise I think), but it too has another new sensor for detecting if it's in your ear, so maybe I could tweak that to open an app or perform an action when not in a call.
Anyways just wanted to say keep up the good work, I'll let you know if I get something working!7Here is a video showing latest progress of the modded ROM. There are still a few bugs to be fixed, but unfortunately I will not have a lot of time to do so in the next several weeks.

The Verizon modem firmware can be found here.
The modded version of the camera allows for other cameras (instead of the Motorola camera) to launch with Twist to Quick Capture. You may simply delete the MotCamera folder in /system/priv-app/ using a root browser. I will update it when I have a chance.
