You must wipe your tablet before installing this or else you will run into issues like bootloops etc... So before installing this you should go to wipe then factory reset then wipe system along with cache and dalvik cache and then you can install this. So yes it will wipe your stuff so back it up first.

I guess that sometimes it works without clearing everything, but sometimes it won't, leaving you with a boot loop.

Question: Why can this ROM not be flashed with CWM?
I have latest OTA JB, then flashed CWM and rooted the official ROM. So, JB does work with CWM.
I hope that all ROMs will be compatible with both CWM and TWRP

you can do it with CWM if you like, but many Users have bricked their Pad by doing so. That´s why they reccomand TWRP.

Ok, i keep looking for how to just root my stock TF300t and can't seem to find how to do that. All my searches bring me to this thread which is for already rooted devices. all the other methods i have tried don't seem to work. Like i said, stock tablet with 10.4.2.13 with android 4.1.1

Hi !

....please excuse me, but you're wrong ! ....This Thread is for Official Asus JB Firmware 10.4.2.13 - WITHOUT ROOT ! - ( Official = No Root !!!)
- so , if you are in stock Firmware 10.4.2.13 ....first you need to unlock bootloader for install Root version !

Please - first, unlock bootloader and then flash TWRP 2.2.2.0 Recovery in fastboot mode !
( put your device in fastboot mode and connect USB cable & type > fastboot -i 0x0B05 flash recovery twrp.blob )
Now ...after you have installed TWRP recovery - your device still have stock Firmware 10.4.2.13 - no root , so you need to flash one of the Rom with root access - firmware 10.4.2.13 !

Do you understand , now ?
Good luck ! :good:

Hi !

...if you feel it's hard, follow the steps below :
- download and install app unlock device - for unlock bootloader !
- download TWRP recovery and extract twrp.blob !
- connect USB cable to PC , go into your PC where SDK was installed .../platform-tools , put this cmd in this directory , copy twrp.blob in this directory , put your device in fastboot mode ( shut down your device , press volume down & power -> press volume down till usb icon and press volume up ! ) , now open cmd & type > fastboot -i 0x0B05 flash recovery twrp.blob
> fastboot -i 0x0B05 reboot ( if not work just press power button for 3 sec. ! )
- Now ...copy one of the root Rom in your device ( in Windows you can see your device with two partition : internal and external = microSD ! - so, copy here in one of these folders ) .
- power off your device !
- press volume down & power -> press volume up to enter in recovery menu !
- from here you can follow instruction from first post , section : Installation !
Good luck ! :good:

I'm presently on the latest CM10. Do I just flash #3 like normal, and this will give me the latest with JB Bootloader? I wanted to flash a stock first, before swapping to check out clean rom. I just don't want to brick my tablet, you know. Any help appreciated.
