[ROM] Stock FroYo, based on WWE 3.15.405.3, rooted

Anyone else with the crashing problem on startup? I got some progress.

I loaded my Vodafone Froyo nandroid backup, and then flashed this ROM onto, and it works (sorta), the phone now boots up (I assume because it's configured and does not need the first-run wizard to run).

I still get the crash on startup, but it's now non-critical, I can report the error and then it carries on to the desktop.

Now the error seems to be off the back of "Sim Card Changed" message that pops up every time I boot the phone up. I don't know why it occurs. I am wondering if it's because I have signed up to the T-Mobile/Orange network sharing beta... It only seems to have started since then.


Anyone else seeing this problem, are they also network roaming between France Telecom(Orange) and Deutsche Telekom (T-Mobile)?

It's a stock ROM, so in theory everything should work...

hello I install the rom first startup ok phone working well although I switch off the phone restarts the second time and the day after I restart the phone and reboot non stop and since it starts only when connecting AC power or on the pc if not it Restarts Continuously.

any idea?

I've done the wipe prior to installation.

installing the rom with clockrecovery.

I was in superfroyo mvz8 before installing this rom.

please need help

By stock ROM do you mean stock Android Froyo or stock HTC Sense Froyo? As opposed to ones branded by carriers.

Stock ROM = HTC
Vanilla ROM = AOSP/CM

hello I already try my sd card usb brick works on the phone but the command to the usb not working after the first line "
cat / sdcard / flash_image> / data / flash_image "he said no such file directory. phone starts only when plug it or reboot it without stopping

EDIT problem ok just not zip flash_image or not work usb brick .

Thanks for the great ROM Allwin,

This rom has worked great for me for the past week while i was in the US, and since I have a contract with SFR France, i just used wifi for internet, which worked fine. now that im back in france, I turned off airplane mode, turned on mobile data, and tried loading my gmail app (which hasn't been working/showing emails, i've had to use the browser version of gmail). Then I tried loading a few webpages, none worked, I just quickly got a "Web page not available, Forbidden error 403" screen.

Now, I can use my facebook app and post statuses, read stuff, and it refreshes fine. I can also send texts.

Any ideas?

EDIT: Stupid me, forgot that I had accidentally disabled "Load pages in mobile view" in browser settings. Although, there shouldn't be any reason for the webpages to not load just because I unchecked the "mobile view" option, right?

Hi,

What happens if an OTA update is released? Will it install if I run this ROM? Will i loose root? Will I get HBOOT 1.xx?

I just encountered a problm with ROM manager (clockwork), cause when i tried to do a backup form the rom manager, the device will boot into the black " ! " screen and stays there..no backups .had to remove batt and restart phone...any ideas?

wonder why with this rom, ROM Manager has problems to boot into recovery..hmm
with other roms...all no issues...must be some protection mech by htc?

It depends if any of original files was modified or not. If it was, OTA update process would bail out.
