I love how you people dont give up.. and as much as I am mad at LG, I still ponder on IDEA's for this Device, since I still own it...........
trying to get my hands on a FULL V20 KDZ or FULL SYSTEM Dump of the v20.. no luck in that department, But im not looking very hard..
I am working on my htc10 kernel too...... I did come up with some more ideas on the v10 kernel.. My only problem is the damm Bluetooth........
but I think I know a fix for that again.......... Just going to take some time to get enough motivation to try it............

I do think the V10 is ready for another Rom Update..................

Maybe a surprise awaits... Just gota wait and see......

I got alot going on so bare with me, Even the peepz over in the G3 threads have begged me to bring my Kernel out of Retirement which I wont do..
that kernel Retired as one of the best kernels that ever ran on the G3.. and I want to keep it that way.. Nothing more I can do to improve that......

But on the HTC10, I am working on a module issue with the kernel.. Kinda same problem as the v10, only with the HTC10 its texfat and as with the v10 its bluetooth....
So if I ever figure it out, then I just might get blue to work on the v10.............. Texfat works with the other custom kernels on the htc10,
but I am the only one along with one more person that used Direct CAF to start that kernel from scratch.................
SO somewhere along the lines a commit got handed down that doesnt belong...........

But I said it before and I will say it again, as long as I own my V10, I wont stop trying............
and I have felt the itch to work on my g3 again... but to do that I need to replace the screen...........
I dont have the cash for that just now...................... anyhow... I just wanted to pop in and let you all know im still around...........

I do this for FUN and accomplishment.. Its the greatest feeling to do something that turns out to a good thing.......
I was in the same place everyone else was when I first started on Android. Then I just went for GOLD when I decided I wanted to develop.
I started out as Developing person only. Then had some close friends try it.. then only for my Device and Carrier.. Then was asked to go global.......
Then next thing I knew it.. I became popular.. and say a legend. Which I am not............

but I wont lie.. It was the accomplishment that kept me motivated.. Yes its hard work.. My HTC10 kernel. I started from scratch.. took me 3 days just to get it ready for the custom mods I added...
and Its alot of hard work.. The newer the devices the harder the kernels are getting to understand..........

I am only posting this cause the other day, I came across a screen shot, That screen shot was nfo on my G3.. Showing the 283mhz - 3.03ghrz CPU Freq....
everytime I see that Screenshot I think back at the time when everyone said there is no way I can reach 3 g's stable on the g3..........
Not only did I reach 3.03ghrz stable.. ( Stable was measured by running a bench mark and it not freezing).
But I also hit 700mhz on the GPU Freq... Seems like everytime someone said I couldnt do something, I always showed them I could.......
That screenshot is a reminder of all the people that said it couldnt be done.........
Only 3 people attempted the 3ghrz on the msm8974 SnapDragon 800/801 ... All Failed except 1.... I need not tell you who that 1 is.....
and them 2 other people where big time Developers.. But if it wasnt for them. I would of never knew where to start..........

What I said above is the reason behind the Logo, "Where The Impossible Becomes The Possible" ..........

maybe and hopefully some of you will be willing to take that leap and learn this stuff and do it..... You will be surprise at what you can do..

Well that is my catch up post from the past month or so...................

As I said, I will look into an update for you all...................
I really want that V20 system........................ if anyone gets their hands on it.. PM me..............

?????????? That doesn't make any sense

Sent from my LG-H901 using XDA-Developers mobile app
Right? Everything's worked just like it should this whole time. (Except the camera takes 30 seconds after opening it, before out even functions.) Listening to music through Bluetooth headset started skipping really bad. It's done it before and a reboot usually fixes it. But this time it rebooted and lost root. Magisk manager now says I'm not rooted, as does root checker. None of my root app, like Xposed or AdBlock are working. I don't get it.

Well, it's been fun but I'm done with LG!
Last night the phone just died in mid conversation. I can sometimes get to the "Your device software...." message but that's it. I need to flash back to stock before turning it i to TMO but the PC can't see it. The screen won't stay on long enough. It won't charge or anything.

I've been on V20E version for a while now. IDK WTF happened. Didn't drop it. Didn't get wet. Bulk OtterBox case on it. SMH

There's a system dump and a tot file for v20 over in the v20 forum. Both are Korean versions. I would think the tmobile stuff should be showing up soon as people started receiving their v20s from t-mobile on Tuesday.

Sent from my awesome T-Mobile LG V10!

Apparently there will be another official update soon, How would I know, LG OpenSource shows V20l Now.....................
as well as the v20j ................ So that tells me your v20l will be updated on your device soon....... So much for Android N.......................
maybe you will get N sometime in the middle of next year............. Its bad, the LG G3 has none Official builds of Android N running for a while now.
and we still run this stock crap.... BTW, the only reason I was looking at the source cause I was going to try something and needed the official source again.
and then I seen that......

Potentially a stepped upgrade to 7.0?
Doubt it, but who knows what they are thinking these days.

Just FYI, I'm not blaming Eliminater74 nor his ROM. Thank you sir for your diligence and blessing us few V10 owners.

I did finally manage to flash back to stock and upgrade to V20J via LGBridge tool. However, it still won't boot past LG splash screen. It made it to the TMO screen one time but froze. Bye LG, I'm so done with you. Guess I'll get an S7.

Now you all know why I really hate LG.. The LG G3 was the last great device that LG ever created.. Since then its been down hill.
When I first got my V10, we had Fastboot, First update, they took fastboot, then added the antiroll back..
Then next update, they removed modem settings.....
and it just goes on and on and on..........

with LP you could at least build a full Custom rom and everything would work.. then MM you couldnt.. cause they locked all the blobs down...........

However, I would like to get my hands on the V20 image.. just so I can say a Big F-U to LG, by porting Android N and some fancy crap to our V10...........
if not, when the KR V10 Model gets N, you know I will have that on our device within 5 mins after.....

When I first ported Android M to our V10, I ran it for 4 days before I posted it here.......... 20 mins after posting it, T-Mobile announces the update to M. Go Figure................
Sometimes to get something done, you need to give a little push...........

but we will see what happens with the V20 image and all.

Right now im working on a side project for the LG G3.......
I put my HTC Kerrnel on hold for a bit, trying to figure out why the texfat module wont load..... thats nerve racking........
and people wont leave me alone about the G3 kernels.. So I figure I would give this project a go.....

People who buy the V20 will be very disappointed at the outcome of that............................ Then again, The G5 just made headway..
and since the G5 and V20 are pretty much the same just the v20 bigger, its a good chance things will pick up for the V20..............

I will stand to the side and watch an see what happens with the V20.. if I like where its going.. maybe ill pick up one........
But as it stands now, NO WAY....................

I did the same my v10 froze and after trying and trying everything it won't pass the LG splash so I got me an s7. It's a shaming LG can fix the boot looping issues.

I wish I could afford to buy you an S7 for development. At least we both agree.....FU LG!!! :highfive:

So, a couple days ago, I rebooted my phone because music was skipping/lagging really bad over Bluetooth. When my phone rebooted, it did the whole, please wait updating apps or whatever. Once it fully booted, I noticed that none of my Xposed tweaks had applied, and i no longer had root. I've rebooted many times before, and never have I ever had this issue. On this or any device ever for that matter. Then I noticed in the T-Mobile app I had an alert, that developers options was activated. It knew! Got me wondering if it was possible they remotely un-rooted my phone? No couldn't be. Lol. I wouldn't be cool with that level of control on their part. I'm on the road working right now, and don't want to risk a boot loop trying to re-root, so I'm just done with LG. Once it's available again, I'll be getting a pixel xl I think, I was also looking at the LeEco pro3, but I just don't know enough about their materials or craftsmanship. Thanks eliminator for all you put up with from LG and entitled members.
