how to install magisk when SU is already installed?

Can you tell me what to do or point me to instructions? Most of the documentation I found is for unmodified ROMs, not ones with SU.

FYI, you can use magisk manager with no issues on this ROM.

Magisk will overwrite su. Download Magisk manager from the app store. Open and have it download the magisk zip file. If it downloads and it won't install, reboot into twrp, look for sdcard/downloads and the zip you downloaded. Flash the zip file and reboot.

It appears the phone has since been reset to stock

I'd given my V10 to my daughter and haven't used it since she started filling it with her stuff. My daughter hands me my old V10 and I try running Magisk and find it's not rooted. Then I find it''s stock build and all the apps are gone. Then I find she says she did a full reset and she says she no longer gets the modified startup screen and all. I'm presuming it's now stock ROM, bootloader and recovery. Is the startup screen related to the locked or unlocked bootloader or the custom recovery? I'm thinking the bootloader is now locked.

So I have to do things over. How far back do I have to go? ADB commands (fastboot oem etc)? Reflash part 1, the V10_H901_V20L_Update_P1.zip part since it's probably on antirollback 2?)

Can Anyone Make A Video On Doing This Root Method? Or Possibly Just Helping Me Out. Had The 5.1 Lollipop And Used The Klickit Tool Which Then Unlocked Bootloader,Gave Me Twrp Which I Then Flashed SuperSu. Pretty Easy Right?Well I Was Given A Replacement Which Had 6.0 MM And I'm Completely Lost On How To Unlock Bootloader, Install TWRP Which Will Allow Me To Then Flash SuperSU If Someone Could STEP BY STEP Video That Would Mean A Lot And Give Me Some Better Understanding. Andy's rom is in the LG V10 section. Other than that there's the Vietnamese roms at lgviet.

Hi, here are the steps ï followed: after unlocking the bootloader then installing twrp 3.0.2 (by the method D_Cow) and then rooting the phone by flashing superSu :
1- first backup the stock rom then
2-wipe cache, data, system
3-flash V10_H901_V20L_Update_P1.zip
4-flash V10_H901_V20L_Custom_DeBloated__02_Tweaked_P2-signed.zip
5-flash @Eliminater74's last kernel :Nebula_1.0.1-alpha_v10_20161217_170023.zip
6-Reboot
7-Debloat by uninstalling only all apps that begin with "google"
(I hate google apps, they always drain the battery a lot so I always delete all google stuff)
8-Restore all my apps
9-Install greenify
10-Flash xposed-v87-sdk23-arm64.zip

That's all

So I already had unlocked bootloader, twrp 3.0.2-0 and root, followed steps 1-6, all three flashed 100% and it looked like it was booting fine until google logo appeared. Screen went black like the battery was pulled and now it seems like its hard bricked and cant get it to do anything.

You people make it hard to let go off this ROM/Kernel Development for this device....... I mean I really wanna stop totally.. but you people act as if I am the only one that can do things.
I taught a few people how to do kernel Development as well as Port EAS over.. I taught even a few people on the pixel...... Now them people are doing great..

The only reason I had to leave, because a certain users/ or should I say Team.. Stole my UnReleased kernel work and posted it on xda.. I didnt even have to report it.. Others did that for me....
anyhow. They took it down.. but, I was harassed over and over on my threads.. When that was reported, it took at least 5 days before anyone would do anything.......
Them same users Team are still about today.. Nothing was done really........

Meanwhile....... I ported AptXHD Drivers over to the HTC10.. which came from a qualcomm site....... some user from the OP3 swears up and down its his.. causes problems.. then reports me..
and it just went on from there. I closed that thread down on my own. posted it everywhere else................. it would work for the v10 also im sure........... my G+ has it listed....

anyhow.. my problem is this...... I have issues that really needed attention, and nobody does anything other then a warning 50 times........ I am accused of one thing. and the roof gets blown off.
So I look at it as Favoritism....................... So I made the choice to leave XDA............. you noticed I dont have that RC status anymore.............
thats something they did also....................

chance this msg will get deleted.. the last time I tried to explain what the deal was, I it got deleted and my status removed..

the funny thing is this, Some of them same mods use my kernel............. Go figure.......

I brought so much over to the htc10.......
I was first to port EAS, I was also first to get custom rom to boot on the N ROM before the source code was even released........
I was the first to get AptxHD ported over.. I was the one that developed Nebula Gov. ported from the msm 4.4 Kernel.......... which everyone loved before I went 100% EAS......

but in the end. the only thanks I got was a status removed and almost banned................

the EAS kernels are popping out like wild fire now.. all because I took the time to do it and teach others.............
I taught others to think outside the box, stop thinking from inside.. if people wanted stock.. then let them install stock..........
I was about performance while keeping battery balanced...... I was the one that Disabled HTC's crapy htc_pnpmgr that was nothing but a joke..
HTC encrypts that file and a few xml's, someone decrypted it.. but didnt wanna share it with others.. That was ok.. I went around it..
disabled it totally.. proved to people that We didnt need it.. and that I could make the device better without it......
Now, Nobody uses it............. Anyway you put it.. whatever device I get my hands On.. I know I can do dangerous things..
I never thought I could top some of the best developers on the HTC scene.. as well as nexus and pixels..................
Some how.. I manged to do it.........

Then I come here and I see how everyone thinks im a saint which I am not............
that kernel I released in here.. I put that together in 2 hours. It was a product of a promise I made here........
I stuck to my word on that...... I have lost alot of my groove and motivation since I been gone......
im trying to find it again..... I got a new system coming soon.... I will dip into ROM development again soon......

If I can find that itch that I need to work again on this kernel.. I will. but right now.......... I just dont have it..........

I still have my v10.. it works just as fine.. I still have the same rom I released on here..........
and I run the very same alpha kernel from here too............

I do have some ideas for the kernel.............. but I dunno when or if I will carry them out...............

Apparently, LG gonna be updated the V10 to Android N. Sad to see dev for this device is pretty much dead. ...so dout there will be a N rom update. Doesn't really bother me, this rom still works very well.
