I think that you don't have to unzipped if I am not wrong ..just Odin as it..
Thanks for replying, but my problem is on the Post#2 (update firmware), no the rom. I need to update the firmware to N900TUVUDNF4 before I install the rom. But after I downloaded the firware tar file (on post #2), according to Jovy (step 2) I need to unzip it and run the odin steps. But I got error messages when trying to unzip the file. I tried it on Windows 7 (7zip, winzip), OSX and Linux Mint 17. Nothing works. Please help.

A couple of fyi's:
1 - I first updated through twrp, but to update the baseband, I then updated through odin. No guarantees for anybody else, but this time it updated, but didn't clear anything I already had (not even a factory reset).

2 - I am running windows 8.1. When I tried to extract the odin zip through 7zip, I got 5 or 6 errors. But it did extract correctly using windows explorer.

This ROM solves Allshare Cast Dongle problem

Does anyone have a mirror to this? The download takes 3 hours then fails at the end
Speaking of mirrors... could not get Mirroring to work with any of the AOSP or other custom ROMs
when trying to link it to Samsung Allshare Cast Dongle. With custom ROMs I tried (including Effortless, Darthstalker & Slim),
could not even install the Allshare update or patch from PlayStore.

After installing Jovy23's August 5 2014 F4 stock ROM, I was able to install both the Samsung Allshare update and the patch.
Once those were installed on my Note 3, a firmware update for dongle downloaded and installed itself.

Then, for the fiist time, I was able to get a solid connection to my LG 47" TV which even let me run my Dish Anywhere app and watch live TV shows in 1080p. My Dish Hopper with built-in Sling does a fantastic job of sending HDTV to my smartphone, all my tablets, desktop PC and laptop PC. There is a slight lag and some random pixelation when mirroring from my Note 3 to the 1080p TV but for the most part, it's great! Then I moved the dongle to a 7 year old VIZIO 32" TV that maxes out at 720p. Simply plugging everything in and clicking Mirroring on Note 3 instantly connected Allshare. However, on the 720p TV there is less lag and NO pixel break ups.

Glenn ;)

P.S. Although the custom ROMs are supposed to run much faster, this stock ROM with all the bloat ware is running just as fast.
Great job Jovy23!

Note 3
Nexus 7 original
iPhone original <first device I jailbroke/rooted (lots of Android smartphones & tablets bought/sold since then)

Great work, jovy23! The image works perfectly well and is nice and smooth! :victory:

For new users, like me, who would like to install this image I have some points of advice.
The download is incredibly challenging to obtain. Thank God we can confirm the md5 checksum. If you grab the Odin install package even after you get one with a good checksum the file will state it has 6 errors when using 7-Zip and will produce bad files.
Do NOT use 7-Zip. WinRar worked just fine for me.
The file N900TUVUDNF4_N900TTMBDNF4_N900TUVUDNF4_HOME.tar.md5 will fail its checksum in Odin and will not load.
If the original zip file package checksum confirms correctly then you can remove the md5 extension at the end of the filename so that its named N900TUVUDNF4_N900TTMBDNF4_N900TUVUDNF4_HOME.tar - it'll load fine.
The rest of the files have no issues. :)

Jovy,
Will the ROM still allow encryption without KNOX? My company's Exchange policy mandates it and I have yet to find a solution for a custom ROM since they all remove KNOX and that seems to have some sort of hook into the encryption.

Hi, Jovy23 While I long weekend and I was browsing thru the root folders and find 2 folder containing KNOX they appear to be empty folders do you think it safe to remove them? f1st one is knox_data 2nd one is located inside data/knox folder.
I did a search with root explorer for "Knox" deleted everything and my phone DID NOT LIKE IT. ...lol so do a nandroid backup first...
