I have successfully restored tweaked alpha and xnote using twrp 2.7.1 under new bootloader.. havent tried installing any nb4 roms though
Were they nb4 roms that you restored, if not what was the baseband(bootloader) on those roms in question that you restored ?

Thread cleaned.
Knock it off with the denigrating posts.
If you don't like the free ROM, then don't use it.
ROMs here are the developer's personal work they share freely; they are not here to be criticized because you want this feature or don't like a certain color.
It wasn't made for you so please go find your perfect ROM.
And for the rest, I suggest you report and ignore trolls,do not respond.
You are doing exactly what they want.

If updated like this does it whip my internal storage

Sent from my SM-N900T using Tapatalk
My internal storage was left intact.

Also for those who are having issues with the modem not flashing. Here's what I did.

In this order.
Enter Download Mode
-Odin the Rom once it boots reboot back to download mode (Power Home and Vol. DOWN)
-Odin CF Root
-Install triangle away reset your counter even if at 0
-You will get a black screen once complete
-Enter download mode and odin again the rom
-Odin once again CF Root and Recovery

Thanks to @mdiaz33685

Ok. Did the d..n thing. Firstly I restored a nandroid that was nb4 and it worked perfectly. Followed jovy's instructions and it was all good. I also odined the modem by itself as jovy suggested on the 1st page only thing is the new features in the update , such as turning off incoming call notifications isn't there like expected.. everything else is good. .

P.s my internal storage was intact as well.

Maybe I'm getting a bad download or something, I've followed the instructions to the letter and it won't install the rom, it doesn't even last long enough to be installed as it ends with in 2 minutes. I've downloaded it 3 times but for some reason it just hangs at the t-mobile splash screen. Guess I'll hang on stock for a while.

Have you Odin to the stock rom first? It really is recommended so that you have a compatible bootloader and modem.

I finally got it, yes I was probably the first to have it updated officially lol. I was having a lot of problems with the device (I'm on the 4th one now) and T-Mobile actually called me to let me know the update was out officially (Tech Support/IT department called) they wanted me to do the official update while I was on the phone.

My problem was the deodexed build would crash after I selected it to flash, it would allow me to select it then it would start the process and end 40 seconds after it was started saying it was complete and updated (/data) but wouldn't boot. This time I did the wipe process manually and put it on the external card and it ran the whole install. Still had to do a battery pull and reboot into recovery to wipe cache and dalvik once it was but now I'm good.

Thanks for the extra time Jovy, you know how these devices can be quirky brother...... catch you on chat.
