Great work that they implemented a HAL! I see custom ROMs like CM supporting fingerprint. Maybe they will also do it for the P8000? Would save me some time to implement it myself

You saw the post of elephones New p8000 release coming soon.? With New FP Google source etc.

Just received my P9000 in the post, and need to update to this OTA (Need Lastpass and FP unlock as all passwords in there), I only have Mac/Linux available to do this, can I flash using fastboot?

Nope, need the tools... You need to flash a scatter txt file...

I can't see OTA update on my phone, so I tried to flash it.
I have problem with flashing, I have flash tools v5.1520.00.000 and I have error (inicialization failed) when loading the scatter file so I am not able to flash. Any help please?

flash tools v5.1604 can load the scatter file. Hopefully no more problems.

When you say ota update supported do you mean that previous build ,20160304, doesn't support ota?

Hi all, now received my 9000, nearly all set up. trying to get the USB to work so I can transfer some Music and Photos , when I plug the USB cable in just coming up as charger and not as an USB cable..Anybody have any ideas?

You must change at the developer options the USB behavior

you should be able to just pull down the notification bar and press the option to change usb connection options. It should say something like "Tap here to change USB something something"

Just an update to you wonderful people.

Purchased a new cable and it worked straight out of the packet, so it seems the Elephone branded cable is just a charger cable rather than a coms cable.

Mine works fine to transfer files - stock Elephone branded cable.
