I have this installed, but the theme doesn't work. Thing is a boot into frankies launcher first. Would that make a difference?

What do you have installed? The StockPlus ROM?

I'm on the Stock Plus Patch. I couldn't get the theme to work on either or.

The theme is only applied on the actual launcher/keyboard on 519... using an alternative launcher you wont see the changes.

Also its to be expected that 519 theme doesn't work on latest firmware....after all there's a ton of changes between the 2 that would require for the most part a bit of a rework to be done to make a compatible theme.

I hope I done everything correctly I'm just sitting here at the "Your OUYA is upgrading" screen, but I first flashed OUYA_StockPlus_1.0.519r2.zip and then while still in recovery after that was done flashing I flashed SPP_1.2.858_RC1.zip

Still stuck on the same screen... How can I get back into recovery or something?

Finally booted back into CWM Recovery...

1. Connect a USB keyboard to your OUYA.
2. Turn your OUYA on.
3. Press and hold ALT + PRINT + I (NOT L)
4. Keep pressing the I button for 2 seconds so that the screen flickers for about 4-6 times until your OUYA reboots.
5. When it reboots you will see a red exclamation mark and U. Now hit your home key button on the USB keyboard and you are now in recovery mode.

Reflashed the main rom not the update and booted right up but now I'm stuck at it checking for updates and unable to connect.

As you can read in the OP, this ROM is discontinued.
Don't use it anymore.
Hop over to StockPlus Patch which is for a later Firmware version, but sadly not for the latest.
We are all hoping, IncognitoMan again will do such a great job and continue with his Patch.

Does no good if once Ouya loads for the first time it forces you to connect to the internet and the forces you to take the OTA. LoLoL!!!
