Wow!!! it works with GSM network in El Salvador, the only issue is that the apn option doesnt appear, i have to change manually the apn with apn changer from playstore.
Would you kindly explain exactly what you did to get gsm to work? I'm currently on cloudy and I flashed the ROM and wiped as per instructions, but it is unable to recognize my Sim card (I'm currently in Pakistan). I had the device unlocked officially by sprint, then took it off the account when I left US, so not sure why it is unable to recognize my Sim.

Going to have to do dialer reset since didn't have the Sprint bootani but am excited. A fresh wipe was probably overdue anyway!
Did the dialer reset and it booted quickly into TWRP - then did something but was so quick couldn't see. Got the LG splash screen and a fresh boot again. Did not get Sprint bootani back. Doesn't bother me really as long as phone is fully functional. Wifi calling never worked for me and really don't have interest in using it anyways but it might work now. I'll try it sometime for fun.

After the phone booted and got hand free activation done I did get the shutdown animation back. I'll wait and see if startup comes back too!
Don't worry about the Sprint bootani. We just want the Wifi calling.
It needs to be a strong Wifi connection. And the location has to be an actual address. It is convenient. Especially if you travel. I just use my home address and it still works.

I know you're not Kim Kardashian but you just broke my Internet. I've been waiting for LG Lollipop

Great work, again, @engine95 is root baked in, or no root yet? Sorry, don't see it mentioned yet.
This is your valentines gift to the community ? Lol
(3 posts til someone says 'be mine' hahaha)

NVM about root. Found answer in gen section. Thanks @RandomPookah
I'm not sure why I was tagged here, but I'm glad, because it pointed me to the right thread without searching. So, thanks for that.

Looks like I'm going to be copying my nandroid to the external SD, along with all the stuff I don't want to lose in event of a worst case scenario, like photos.

Did Lollipop do away with lock screen widgets? Can't seem to create any, let alone get rid of the ugly circle clock. Also, it seems that I don't have any ringtones or notifications.

Well....It's finally here folks! The long awaited ZV8-Lollipop!
Brought to you by

What is has:
Bone stock and rooted
Modem and Kernel are included - the Modem doesn't seem to be backwards compatible. It works, but shows as "Unknown"
Zipaligned

Install instructions:
1. Flash this in TWRP - MAKE SURE YOU CLEAN FLASH THIS!
In TWRP, select Wipe>Advanced>then select cache, dalvic, data, and system. DO NOT select int or ext SD.
2. Flash Rom
3. Profit!

After install:
Go to Settings>System Updates> and update profile/prl. You can also go to "Activate this device".

If you do not have Sprint bootani or Wifi Calling
You will need your MSL number and do the dialer reset. So in the Dialer ##786#. This will wipe your int SD!! And everthing else, so you will be starting fresh.

Bugs:
None that I know of.

##rtn# wipes internal? Is that new to LP? I don't remember it doing that on KK
I might be wrong on that.
I had just came from Flashtool when I did it. So I just assumed.
I know Flashtool does it.

While I'm here guys.....
In doing some checking into Deodexing Lollipop, There's no easy way, and heres why.
When I started making this ROM, I was trying to do it our old way which requires an updater-script. After hours messing with it, I threw in the towel and went with the image files instead.
Now with that said, while someone has made an app to do multiple deodexing for Lollipop. I would need to convert it to a system.img which is no easy task. And/or adb push every single file onto a phone so I can dd the image.

So with all of that, we'll probably end up with a Debloated Rom before any deodexing comes along. At least from me.
And if anybody has more knowledge about this, please send me a PM and let me know.

I just thought I'd let you know where we stand right now.

a question about bloat is there a specific list we can use to figure out what boat app does what? I use titanium backup to freeze apps that I think are bloat but wish I knew what some of them actually were.

Thanks for the info.. Debloated sounds good. How about the mixer path for increased volume??

That doesn't make sense. I don't know how you could lose them and still have a working Home screen. There in the same apk.
All I got is make sure you're doing a clean install. I have no idea what a dirty one will do.

This is all new for us. So it'll be a learning curve.
Good thing about freezing them is you can always fix it.

Awesome job with this. Clean install, restored all my apps with titanium and this is running great. Even got wifi calling back working. It kept failing for me before.

Let me debloat this first, and we'll go from there.
