Last week, i went from candy6 (marshmallow rom) back to one of my back ups of zv8 with no issues. As long as you have a good back up in case you run into issues you should be fine.Hi there. Trying to ask around a bit before I mess up my pretty new Sprint LG G3 (ls990) that came with a custom Marshmallow ROM (Resurrection Remix if that helps). I'm just trying to find the path of least resistance to get back to stock. It looks like I have a working TWRP, backed up everything but cache and EFS and then did a separate backup that included the same plus EFS.
My problem is, I don't know if I can go from a custom Marshmallow ROM back to this without any extra hoops to jump through. I haven't been flashing anything for the last couple of years and I didn't want my first go to be making a paperweight.
So the question is, is it safe to assume, with the current backups, that I could try flashing this and have a reasonable chance of getting back to a stock Lollipop?
Appreciate the help!

@scottspa74 do you have TWRP or another custom recovery?Just read OP, and saw 'new info, don't need to update rpm/tz partitions'.
I could use some guidance. I just gave my g3 to daughter. It's still on zv6. So I should NOT update those partitions? Also, do I have to update radios/modems, or no.? Skimmed thread
Never got super fammiliar/comfortable with this device. First and only LG. Always used HTC.
Much thanks.
