If I want to go back to stock whats the best way to restore all my apps with its data from a rooted phone to a unrooted phone? I always use TitaniumBackup but I cannot restore apps when I am unrooted.

Anyone have a minute to help me get this right; I'm on SAMfail QK2 that says December security patch. Should I flash QK3_V1, QK3_V2 ( both November), or QL9_V1 (December)?
Also a BIG thanks to Team DevDigital! Great work!

Also, are the modem files listed with each ROM mandatory for operation? The real question being; can I flash the ROM I need WITHOUT having to Odin part of it in? I use my phone for my internet connection and I want to make sure I have all I need before I go dark. Thanks

You can flash my most current build, witch i recommend as its the latest 7.1 that has been released.

Modems are interchangeable and per user preference. In theory the newest one should be the best but you can flash each one and check to see if your service gets better in your home area or not. I prefer being on the newest of everything. I assume its the best lol

Sorry for the late reply i didn't get tag you mis-spelled my name haha no worries.

Use the samsung smart switch APP, not the desktop version, backup all your data to sd, then use odin to restore to stock 7.1
be aware if you OTA at ALL you will be blocked from root forever. As ALL devs currently have abandoned the work on the N8 / ROOT due to Samfail blocks.

Is anyone's camera app crashing when trying to use panorama or any of the plug-ins? I can only take normal pictures and Bixby image search but plug-ins crash the camera. It was happening before I updated and is still happening now that I updated

Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
I posted a fix inside the telegram chat:
Try flashing this

I got my note 8 unlocked but I am roaming with my Verizon Sim in. Is there something I can flash with flashfire or something that will put back all the carrier files you all removed? This is the Sprint variant but I want to be able to use mutliple carriers Sim cards. Any help would be awesome and thanks for the ROM. Been using it forever. Couldn't find the telegram chat or I would've asked there. I forgot to mention I forget what version I'm on but it says QK1. Anyway to check what version I'm on as well? My computer crashed so I lost all the files I used to have to figure it out.

1st Allow me too give a big thanks to Team DevDigitel for all there awesome work and one fine ROM. My last rooted device was the Note 4 and then went to the S7 Edge when the Note incurred the dreaded EMMC read failure problem. Got my Note 8 through Best Buy a couple of weeks ago and was very surprised when it arrived running U1AQI5. After setting it up and using for a few days I spent several days reading through this thread and decided to take the plunge and flashed U1_DevDigitel_QI5_V5 so as to preserve the U1 BL. Have been very happy with the ROM… now comes the problem.

My impression from the thread was that any Modem would work with any ROM so I set about testing them to see which would work best for me in my home area. I started with BRB4 (thinking I’d work my way from newest to oldest) flashing with regular Odin and had no problems. However when I tried to flash the RA6 modem my phone booted to a screen saying basically “An Illegal OS has been flashed contact your service provider…blah blah”. Re-flashing the BRB4 modem gets the phone booting up and working with no issues. Flashing any older modem results in the boot to the “You’re screwed screen” with no option but power off and boot to download mode.

Looking in the about phone section it is now showing my baseband and software versions as BRB4 (pics attached I hope) while the build is still DevDigitel SPR QI5. The error has to do, I would think, with the phone thinking I’m attempting to downgrade. The question I have is this… If I dirty flash the QI5_V5 ROM with Flash Fire will that get my modem back to QI5 or would that potentially cause another similar error?

Then again would I just be better off in the long run upgrading to the U3 BL... for some reason I feel I should stay on U1 (not rational I know)...lol
