Wifi doesn't work properly on 2.3.2 also wifi tethering doesn't work.

wifi work but tethering ( which is portable hotsopt ) doesnt work .... it say error ...

My battery life is excellent and the Streak is much more responsive with this build.prop over the one that comes with any of the MIUI ROMs currently on the forum. If anyone has anything to add to it or notices something that it may help to remove, please lemme know...

I may stay with MIUI for a bit longer mainly because it seems not to have the wifi issues, but now that DSC is at 1.0 I am very tempted to go back to _n0p_ and the gang and see how the ROM has progressed.

How did you get 160 dpi working? For me it throws every widget to the left 3/4th of screen leaving right most part unusable! It looks ugly at any other dpi other than 240. I tried many themes to try and fix that alignment.

I think this is the best rom ever tried ...but now i wish to know if is possible to get better.

This rom seems very stable and quick so far, excellent work all round.

I've tested the build.prop modifications suggested by ammujee, no crashes or issues.
I used build.prop editor from the market to make the changes.

Out of the top section only the following needed changing

I think I noticed the performance improvement on 3G most, much quicker.

To solve the issue with the portable wifi hotspot I installed Barnacle wifi Tether which seems to work just fine.


On 160 Density I get the following issues

(1) Toolbar is broken

To partially fix this I installed the Extended settings for miui from the following link.

A problem with a white toolbar occurs in some apps
at LCD Density below 170. However this can be solved by doing the following:

(1) Go to the MIUI control panel (not settings, I'm referring to the app with the green android icon which is the newly installed extended settings)
(2) Choose colour options.
(3) Set 'Choose statusbar colour' to ON
(4) Now select 'Choose status bar colour'
(5) Set Red/Green/Blue values to a colour of your choice
(6) Set Alpha to 255
(7) Hit OK and the issue is largely resolved, although the status bar is not transparent.

(2) Call dialpad positioned incorrectly.

I'm not sure if its possible to fix the dialpad issue.

(3) Torch graphics is broken.

I just used an alternative torch app.

(4) Lock screen is in a small window at the top of the screen (sometimes)

I used nolock, but I'm guessing another third party lock screen replacer would fix this issue.

(5) Launcher icons are different sizes.

Used golauncher ex with an miui theme installed.

I wonder if you can tell me if this ROM (or any other MIUI roms for that matter) will support landscape mode? I am not keen on using my streak portrait and I could not get the patch i saw on one of these threads for 3.2.3 to work.

Also what is the situation with the led buttons - the last MIUI rom I tried they stayed on all the time - which I did not like. In fact,i really liked CM7's led notification and I wonder if that could be baked in?
