Question ROM Suggestions

Hi mate could you direct me to the forum post of this version your are using, I just want to compare it to the Stable version that I keep seeing, and I don't know the details of this version you gave me.

you directed me to v14.0.8.0.TK0CNXM_v14-13.zip but I found the page for v14.0.23.1.9.DEV_v14-13-fastboot.zip

I see, quite different from ODIN for samsung, because I never actually used ADB before.

the way I understand it right now is:

➊ Unlock Bootloader (with PC)
➋ Install ADB / Fastboot / Drivers to PC >> I'm still blank in this, I never used ADB before and the others as well
➌ Flash TWRP, through ADB
➍ Flash ROM through ADB, Then Install through TWRP
➎ Flash MAGISK through ADB, then Install through TWRP to ROOT the ROM

please feel free to correct me, where I am wrong, and in the mean time, I'll research on the methods on how to do each step properly.

You do install both together with their drivers on PC and for both you use CMD on the PC but you use ADB when the phone is booted to Android (or TWRP), while you use Fastboot when the phone is booted to Fastboot mode (that is not Android)

Hence, you do bot flash TWRP, ROM, Magisk from ADB, but from Fastboot

ADB commands are adb ..., Fastboot commands are fastboot ...

Simultaneously keep pressing Pow and Vol- and phone will boot to Fastboot mode.
Later reboot to System by keep pressing Pow

For Recovery (later TWRP), Pow and Vol-+

Also, Magisk Installation is different than what you described, but please first consume and master the other steps

Thanks mate, I'm getting nervous of doing this..
I probably should take it slow, and read as much as possible for now.

Just a quick question, since unlocking the bootloader will notify me for 168 hours waiting time for the first try, does it mean that my phone will not get wiped right away? as I understood the data wiping happens once bootloader unlocking is done after the waiting time.

and also, along the first try during the waiting time, I can still shurdown my laptop, right? no need to keep literally waiting with my laptop on standby for that long?

I was about to ask about this, because I frequently shuts down the phone.

if you did that, then it is also safe to say that I may not connect to internet during that 7 day-waiting time.

Which is not a problem in xiaomi.eu rom because of the import mtz feature in themes app

I'm sorry, but right now. I can only suggest Xiaomi.EU ROM Stable, This ROM has a Auto Call Recording feature built in the MIUI Dialer that you require.

This is also the first ROM I decided to use for it is only a modified version of MIUI and I expect and can say that I do not experience any major bug. I suggest that you try it first. If you are too unsure yet, keep on researching. I spent a long time to read so to make sure that I would not brick my phone, and Now I am smoothly using my phone without any bloatware and ads.

if ever you decide to use Xiaomi.EU, I made a post about my Installation Experience, It may help you clear some worries.
