Hi all,

I would like to know what modem is being used? It is somehow linked with MIUI13 modem implementation?

I am asking because I have the following topic ... better explained on the links below:
https://new.c.mi.com/global/post/88433 or

Long story short, connection to a dongle allowing wireless android auto drops when the phone looses mobile connection.
It applies to any dongle: Carsifi, Wireless AA, Motorola MA1 and even some cars able to natively do Wireless android auto.

It does not happen with other phones while using the dongle( I personally tried with Moto Edge 20 pro and Huawei P20 ) or with wired connection, when mobile internet drops for some reason. It happens with official firmware, xiaomi.eu, CrDroid and possible any implementation using MIUI13 modem/firmware.

I would like to know, before actually doing another factory reset if there is a chance it will work fine with Lineage.

Thank you.

AUX/Headphones audio not working...

I've tested 2 latest LOS builds on my F2 Pro.
On both versions, from September 17th and September 24th audio on AUX doesn't work. There's silent crackles and other distortions when I tried to play some music when headphones are connected. When it happens for example in YT, the video barely plays at all. Disconnecting headphones doesn't solves the issue, I had to reboot to get it working again.

No issues on speaker at all.

Next, I tried to update firmware. Used two versions, 13.0.4.0 and 13.0.5.0, unfortunetly, none of them works. :(

...but in PowerAmp it does work!

Last thing I tried is PowerAmp. This app has the ability to use Hi-Res audio output in POCO on LineageOS. Although in my opinion, Hi-Res audio on F2 Pro doesn't impress me in any way, suprisigly it works with headphones connected. What's even more intresting, is that it works correcly even when I disabled the Hi-Res audio output and used OpenSL ES Output.

So, AUX in PowerAmp works correctly, but only if I don't try to play something in other apps. If this issue with crackle noises starts to happen, the reboot is required to get it working again. Before rebooting, PowerAmp shows "Audio Engine Stopped" in Audio Info.

Most likely we have to wait for a fix as it looks like LOS issue.

I had that problem when I was in MIUI. I moved to a custom Rom exactly because of Aawireless randomly disconnecting from my car's radio.
The problem was solved by flashing Lineage. Now it works flawlessly.

AUX/Headphones output works again on latest build!

I've just installed latest build from today, October 1st. Looks like the issue got fixed. Headphones on AUX works with every app, Hi-Res output works, OpenSL output works.

If anyone cares: AudioFX still doesn't work at all. From my experience, it never worked in LOS 19 on F2 Pro.

Update procedure as usual using TWRP Recovery. Magisk didn't survive so I had to write patched boot.img after LOS update.

Can you recommend something?
Currently I'm using this recovery:
[REC_BOOT]3.6.2_12-RedmiK30Pro-RedmiPOCOF2Pro_v5.1_A12-lmi-skkk_4cbe0144.img

Patching boot.img is not a big deal, but if there's a way to avoid this I'd like to find out what to do (which recovery should I use).
Am using:
twrp-3.6.2_12-v3.7_A12-lmi-skkk
and am not loosing magisk.
i reupload it for you:

In the latest build from october 1st NFC works as expected on my phone. I can read tags or use dedicated app to read my ID card using NFC. Not sure if payments works correctly, 'cause I don't use Google Pay anymore.

I'm not sure what could cause this issue, but did you tried to update the firmware? I'm on V13.0.5.0.SJKEUXM, exact version depends on the region of your device. It may solves your issues with NFC.

You could also try to clean flash LineageOS but this will erase your data, so it may not be an option for you.

is it possible to update firmware without loosing data? if yes, how you do this?

Yes, I did it several times.
Just go to this site: https://xiaomifirmwareupdater.com/firmware/lmi/ and download firmware according to the region of your phone, copy it to your phone and flash like every other zip package using TWRP.
Usually I'm doing firmware update before flashing new version of LOS, for example when I was upgrading from LOS 18 to LOS 19 I had to update firmware to get the audio working.
Never experienced any issues with this and never lost any data.

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 12.1 (Sv2), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS GitHub repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

    LOS 19.1 is perfect.
Battery is at least equal or even better than i had on the MIUI 13 (or any of previous one)

    GCAM:
Now i've just applied GCAM F2 Pro Config file and im amazed how it's functionality extended!
Macro camera (and all other) lens works.
Night camera has lots of new options.

    1. So first download GCAM Urnix Gcam
    2. download (also from here) the F2 Pro config. pocof2pro-urnyx05-v2.xml (for v2.6+)
    3. follow the instruction how to create folder for config and how to load the config:
How to Load & Save XML Configs
Because of many customization options all in all LOS user experiment is much better than i had on MIUI ever.

Also had spi downgrade error, fixed by flashing

    //reboot to bootloader
    fastboot flash recovery twrp-3.6.1_11-v3.4_A12-lmi-skkk.img
//chinese twrp that works with android 12
    fastboot reboot recovery
    adb sideload fw_lmi_miui_LMIGlobal_V13.0.1.0.SJKMIXM_c0c40adc87_12.0.zip
    //reboot to bootloader again
    fastboot flash recovery lineage-19.1-20220514-recovery-lmi.img
    fastboot reboot recovery
    //here flashed
    adb sideload lineage-18.1-20220507-nightly-lmi-signed.zip
    adb sideload MindTheGapps-12.1.0-arm64-20220416_174313.zip
    adb sideloadMagisk-v24.3.apk

    Issues (lineage-19.1-20220514):
Yasnac and Signal complaining about Google Play authenticity - MindTheGapps fault?
No longer working with GCAM (multiple mod versions)

Which gapps yo used guys and did you encountere same issues?

@Samueldw which twrp version you used?

audio works well in speaker but broke in headphone.headphone can't work in music apps like Apple Music.A 3.5mm headphone adapter helps headphone works well in those music apps.
