[ROM] Synergy - [RLS1+GodMode 08/05/2011] - Now With Warm Sprinkles!

Question about God Mode: I'm coming from Strikes ICS and using Smelkus AMon Ra based recovery. Last night I (super)wiped my phone twice and flashed God mode. Waited for over an hour and never got past the splash screen. Pulled battery and rebooted, waited 10 minutes and still splash screen. Am I running into problems with using Smelkus recovery or did I do something wrong? thanks for any help.

If you're using the godmode version then you need to use the stock kernel or the lionfish kernel with godmode support. Godmode rewrites something in the filesystem and standard kernels don't like it. Godmode was buggy for me a year ago when I used it. I would definitely recommend using the standard version of this ROM with ca1ne's underworld kernel. Your mileage may vary but this is what works best for me. Super smooth! You won't be sorry...

Hey. Sorry . The only thing i changed was the kernel and got this bug.

And you wonder why people are afraid to post in xda..they are afraid to get their heads ripped off. Not all of us on this site are techy guys that live,eat, n sleep reading every post on every forum. This is suppose to be a helpful forum not "lets bash the guy for not reading all 1000 pages of fourm" place.

Never tried to just power off from menu on this rom, may be a bug... Never had that happen on another rom, I'm pretty sure I've powered off on other roms with that kernel, just not this one.

I hold the power button. power off,reset, etc pops up. i hit power off unit and it just resets the evo. i never had that happen before installing the kernel. other than that, the evo 4g zips a lil faster with it.

Try Caines Classic kernel....no issues here with that one

Go into settings>power (I think) and make sure fastboot is unchecked.

Awesome, thanks! And hilarious, yes, sorry old thread... Finally upgraded to an EVO (cheap old sprint sero user), but yes I realize I'm a little behind I loved NRG's old roms on my even older phones, and this one rom looks very similar. So if 4g wimax works without any tweeking, I'm sold! No LTE by me, so I figure I might as well wimax it until 2015 when it goes away

Smelkus is an updated amon-ra recovery. It's much better with way more options. Worked fine for me when I flashed this rom. If you like this rom you should check out mikg. Similar Rom but a little different flavor.
