Flashed it an hour ago on my T815Y and no major day-breaking bugs so far! Netflix runs without any problem. Audio is a bit weak on my end but that can be fixed with some Magisk Modules. Also, apps show up in recents but don't necessarily show any activity or screenshot, just a black screen. Kind of hard to describe so I'll try and snap a pic after I fix up my tab because I did something wrong with Magisk.

Overall, great experience and tab feels brand new! Cheers!

UPDATE:
I've attached a screenshot of what the Regents look like. I've also encountered a bug wherein if you charge the device while it is turned off, it will show the battery icon with a lightning bolt and will get stuck there even after removing it from the charger. Only way to get out of it is to force shut down your tab. Not sure how to provide logcats for this one.

The black recent tiles is a known issue, it even occurs on official builds for related devices (gts210vewifi).
@bonuzzz, I hope you're able to make some progress on the bugs you're looking at! We would love to see your changes on GitHub and new builds. :)

@ripee Yes, I have some progress already, but microphone is not fixed yet and I break mobile data again. Reworked fingerprint and found why it turns off after a while. It's not hard to "fix", but probably it will cause battery drain in standby. Also I want to finish netflix workaround to watch hd here without patches, but stuck with secure codec stuff. I tried that workaround in stock rom, but it also doesn't work because of drm stuff, so probably it will near impossible, but i have a little hope to get it working someday.
And one more serous question is treble. I almost finish treble build, but I think I cancel this idea because I don't see any advantages here. At least for tablets. And I don't understand some things here like tuning in overlay and how move it to vendor.. So I think it's better to make normal builds and don't spend time to treble.

ps: don't ask me about sources each time. You also know what will happened when I upload them.

XDA rules require sources to be shared. Outdated sources are as useless as no sources at all. This is why I ask.

What will happen? You don't want me to build? It's not your decision to make, and you don't have to answer people's bug reports when they use my builds, send them to me. I am not the only one here who wants to build.

ps- I never used your sources for my nougat builds as they never compiled, so any bug reports should have been forwarded to t_i or raymanfx. I have told you this many times.

At first, I had and have uploaded sources in public. So, this is to stop stories about closed sources etc.
At second, I don't worry about you. I don't want community has a lot of cloned roms with same bugs when dont want to fix something yourself and just sitting and waiting for new commits.
And as I see you also just waiting until someone make anything. Maybe is it better to make rom yourself instead of asking sources all time? Xda is the dev forum.

I want to learn, and seeing your work would help. If I knew how to fix those bugs, I would and share my latest code as soon as possible. But that is just my sense of commitment to the community, to share with other who are unable to work on it or build themselves.

I just hope you keep working on the 2015 Tab S2, it deserves good support.

My sources are not suitable for learning unfortunately. There are just snapshots of my work.
I don't want to upload updated sources at this stage with bugs like not working microphone. I know at least 3 guys who want to make rom for s2, but just waiting for sources. I doubt they want to fix anything, so it would be just cloned roms. This is the main reason to keep community clean.

That's understandable, but we are all of course interested in keeping these tablets alive, so we are grateful that you continue working on them. :)

Totally agree with you. I see that is the biggest problem on xda community which make it unreliable as you can see most of devices had only one dev and many builders which doesn't make progress on rom development except copying the mistake and spread it.
Keep going your work is appreciated and keep our tab alive . Thank you. :good:

From my limited testing after flashing the 20180531 release on the T815 it seems that fingerprint login now works like a charm ( cool !!!) and GPS does so as well ( it was listed as not working for the T815 before - this note has gone). Great work @bonuzzz , thank you and congratulations!

bonuzzz switched to the gts2 kernel, which would explain the powered off charging as well as the fingerprint reader working properly.

Thanks for the progress! :)

Fingerprint works perfectly now indeed. Also I had an issue previously where Perfect Player would not resume properly when interrupted during video playback - also fixed. Performance feels smoother overall subjectively. Very nice update, kudos!
