Oh nice, fresh update downloading now. @bonuzzz what's new dude?
Charging with device switched off works in the latest build. Very nice!
Yes, offline charging fixed
From my limited testing after flashing the 20180531 release on the T815 it seems that fingerprint login now works like a charm ( cool !!!) and GPS does so as well ( it was listed as not working for the T815 before - this note has gone). Great work @bonuzzz , thank you and congratulations!
Almost nothing happened with fingerprint. It goes sleep after a while. But if it works better, that's good, but I think this is effect placebo. It needs to more work later anyway.

bonuzzz switched to the gts2 kernel, which would explain the powered off charging as well as the fingerprint reader working properly.

Thanks for the progress! :)
I didn't switch. I rebuilt kernel with new latest sources and didn't add support for note4. So because of that I changed the name to gts2.

Fingerprint works perfectly now indeed. Also I had an issue previously where Perfect Player would not resume properly when interrupted during video playback - also fixed. Performance feels smoother overall subjectively. Very nice update, kudos!
I wrote about fingerprint above. To be honest I didn't know about issue with perfect player...

I will write changelog later. I have a little amount of time behind computer last few days.

So, it's time for changelog to build 0531:
the goal of this build was simple: to make base platform as stable as possible.
- kernel has been rebuild from scratch based on latest samsung sources.
- device config has been revised and almost all reworked.
- fixed offline charging.
- tuned brightness settings
- used another fingerprint hal
- fixed gps on lte models
- probably something else

But I couldn't fix microphone and I know it's my own bug which I made in nougat. And I'm sure I fixed it before, but forgot to push to git. I hope I will find solution to it some day.

@bonuzzz, Thank you very much for releasing your sources and roomservice :D I would like to ask about the repos from the Exynos7870 and ivanmeler accounts you used. The ones you chose from each account are not the ones that are the most recently updated, if you compare the exynos, exynos5, exynos5433, and openmax repos in each account, the account you used for each repo may not be the most recently updated compared with that same repo in the other account.

I'm just curious if it matters because I support your choice 100% in terms of what's best for our devices.

@ripee those repos were used during work on samsung t585. I brought up oreo to s2 at same time. Probably you could use also official lineage repos, but I haven't checked them.

I tried building with those official ones way back when, didn't work except with your exynos5433 repo. If the other ones are interchangeable between Exynos7870 and ivanmeler, all the better for us pick and choose the most recent ones.

It depends on what they are doing there, because one commit could be suitable for one device, but breaks another one. Maybe it's even better to fork them and have own copy to maintain.
Anyway I've switched to tab s3 now. Need to finish aosp there.

Second day without reboot, fingerprint still working. That's a good placebo :)

@bonuzzz, you forgot to include the wifi and bluetooth fixes in the lineage-15.1 branches you uploaded yesterday. As such, I don't understand why you share sources that don't reflect your finished build?

Don't worry I didn't share my build.

Ya, same old story. Is this supposed to be a joke? Your sources do not reflect your builds, which means no one can reproduce your work, so whoever wants to try it has to trust you.

How is blind trust in the interest of the community?

To be honest, I do know what to answer you...

If you can't use my sources, make you own. ok?

The best answer you can give is to just push ALL your changes to GitHub, not just re-upload the same old lineage-15.1 branches. I know they're the same because the gts210wifi device tree has the same gts28wifi typo as before.

Rest assured that I have never been more motivated to push myself to learn how to work on Android. If and when I find out how to fix wifi and bluetooth, I will share those fixes publicly without hesitation, and I will thank you later for motivating me.

I don't want to prove you anything again. I have FULL sources on github with all fixes. I see that mistake and I have to rebuild all t810 roms because of it.

To be honest, you are very annoying guy and you are blaming me since first my build here. I don't understand your goal and I don't know what to do you leave me alone. I'm seriously starting to think what I forgot here. I have much more interest in tab s3, because I can receive new knowledge there. I really don't know why I continue s2. I have everything on git. even made manifest for repos. I know what I upload and I know I didn't "forget" anything. If you always can't build from my sources, may be something wrong not with sources??

Will you be continuing work on S2? Were obviously huge thankful so far. Hopefully that Mic issue isn't too hard to iron out. :good:
Yes, I will. Just need to take timeout with s2. Also this is a very good opportunity to use oreo lineage myself:)
Mic issue is disaster. It could be something simple like mistake in t810 config or somewhere else I don't even expect. Unfortunately It's very difficult to search own mistakes...

Just wanted to say thanks for the work! Dropped the old Samsung ****-ware and am very happily running 15.1 on my 810! Have a beer (or more) on me!

Clean flashed the latest build and running it for over 12 hours now. Charging while the device is off works now and the lower brightness setting is greatly appreciated. Haven't encountered any bugs as of yet. Thanks bonuzzz for your hard work!
